Samuel successfully diagnosed my problem and fixed very quickly. This was a noise coming from rear of my car at speeds over 45 mph. I very happy with results.

It's the very last body on frame bullet proof SUV. It's built like a tank is great for all types of driving situations and here in Illinois where the roads are almost as terrible as it's governor it needs to be ready to drive over potholes the size of Pritzkers rear end and handle it. I've had no problems and plan on holding onto it especially now that Toyota has taken a turn for the worse with garbage 4 cylinder turbos.

I want to mention Mike Hofer and Tyler Massey, along with all the ladies and gentlemen, who helped make my experience a pleasant one! I love everything about my car, and especially the color. A2002 4 runner with almost 400,000 miles and I love it still traveling to other states on it and I leave my 2015 at home I only use it for work , had a 96 Camry for 15 yrs sold it with a little mileage like 300,890 miles and my sister still outing more miles on it Toyas last as long as you maintain them

J’ai possédé plusieurs 4x4: Suzuki sj 410(2), jeep cherokke(2) jeep grand cherokke(1) Toyota 4runner. Je suis du type conservateur, j’use mes vehicules a leurs limites. J’ai mon Toyota depuis 12 ans. Et il n’a pas eu la vie facile, mon boulot exige de faire beaucoup de offroad. Il a 250,000 milles au compteur. 2 amortisseurs, un bout de silencieux(laissé dans une trail) 1 cardan,c’est tout. Le reste est de l’entretien normal. Je suis pas sur de vivre assez longtemps pour le voir mort. Quand on met dans la balance le cout d’acquisition, les réparations, l’entretien, l’essence, il est le plus économiques des véhicules que j’ai possédé. Oui, l’intérieur est un peu défraîchi, j’ai un boulot salop. Mais, il se comporte comme il y a 12 ans. Je n’ai aucune inquiétude à faire encore du hors piste, il est encore super fiable. Toyota offre ici un produit que je qualifie de hors norme, c’est un char d’assaut. Indestructible.

I purchased this 4Runner new, have only driven it moderatelybut far back into rarely ever traveled areas — definitelyfar away from any crowds. I do all maintenance myself, and there is extremely little of that. I have only replaced the original battery once. It handles very well in all situations. I did and strongly do recommend getting the factory high quality stabilizer system. Mine is a 4x4 Trail Edition and I ever so greatful for that. That provides truly complete 4 wheel drive but only when needed. Being a car mechanic when young, a Marine Colonel and a retired Professor of Plasma physics and Quantum Electrodynamics, I carefully studied all vehicles and options far in advance. The Toyota V-6 engine is famous for its extreme durability as is every part of the vehicle. I did, as a possibly excessive caution, replaced the perfectly good radiator with a larger, no–plastic radiator possessing far better transmission cooler. Also being a private airplane pilot for over 65 years, I have long ago learned to be pro-active rather than reactive. Silicone hoses and best quality German full synthetic oil in engine, transmission and both differentials. The European oil standards are far beyond American and aggressive testing has proven that beyond any doubt. I have also replaced the cheapy passenger car tires and wheels with full beadlock, wider, negative offset wheels (all 5) with Toyo 8-ply rated 275/75–17" tires (34"), improved the factory shocks with King 2-¾" shocks & springs, et al. Yes, I also designed & built high quality fore & aft stainless steel bumpers to carry an 10mt hydraulic winch and double swing out locking rear bumper to carry 3 20 liter NATO gas cans, high lift jack, 4 traction panels and the oversized spare tire. The driving and riding quality is genuinely wonderful. This vehicle will out live both my equally fantastic wife and myself, as well as the next series of owners. Just nothing ever goes wrong with it (full skid plates help). To date, I have never known of a more practical, pleasant, reliable vehicle, and we have gone to some very 'dicey' places without any fear of getting stuck or damaged. I honestly have never even heard of any vehicle remotely as reliable and comfortable even for long trips as the 4Runner. I had a 1987 4Runner but the 4 cylinder engine, while excellent, was just not powerful enough, although I did much prefer the standard 5 speed manual transmission over the current automatic transmission. In approximately 400,000 miles over 27 years, I only replaced the battery twice.

Great experience! Christian, our sales contact and a great guy, had the car we were interested in all ready to be seen and test driven when we arrived. Loved the car. My daughter, who the car was for, liked another car a little better and the financing options here didn't work out for her since it was her first car loan. She was able to get better financing at another dealer. That's the only reason for the 4 stars vs. 5.

Great vehicle. Carries all the gear for construction or camping. Added rack for handling lumber. Too easy! Exceptional reliability on and off road. Solid highway truck, smooth and stable. Solid off road, tough and handles 4 wheel areas with ease. Awesome truck!

I owned a Nissan Pathfinder and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I reviewed,looked over and test drove the 4Runner. Honestly and truly,I fell in love with the feature's,capabilities,the mileage capabilities because I have learned to tweak the computer a little. After 6 year's in Dec.,it looks almost as good as it did the day I bought it! I am very cognizant of the care my vehicle gets,and when the Dealer kept disregarding my complaint's about oily finger print's and oily body print's on my 4Runner,I fired them because of this,and the LIE THEY TOLD ME,saying that they no longer use Fender Cover's like they did when I bought it from them BRAND NEW! I FIRED THEM! Dealer prices are already in the Cloud's and with that price,I expect excellence at every level of service to my vehicle. I did have a Ceramic Coating applied when it was Brand New,and the shine is still so brilliant that I still get a Ton of Compliment's and stares from other SR5 4Runner owner's. The paint color is Midnight Blue Metallic. Thats a very pleasing feeling also knowing that I can pull up next to a little car,and he can see every detail of his vehicle and even the face of his passenger in the paint! This page is not long enough to say how much I am still enamored with this vehicle. It still has only 54000 miles on it and not even broken in! Always stay ahead of the curve on your Oil Changes and preventative maintenance and she just might be with you longer than your last wife?

Steve from AZ with 2022 review...dude, you must have gotten one made on Monday or Friday as the saying goes. I'm on my 3rd 4Runner since 1995, and I am looking for another one now. Our oldest son totaled the 95 in 2003 in his senior year of high school, head on collision, and walked away without a scratch. We replaced it with a 2001. I rolled that one 2x in my 1st accident in Oct 2011. I got hit by wildlife and knocked off the other side of the road. I was doing good keeping it steady, but it wasn't slowing down, and I knew not to hit the brakes on the wet grass--I forgot my cruise control was on. So I rolled it 2x and hung upside down in the middle of a swamp until the police found me, but not a scratch on me. We replaced that one with a 1999, and I'm still driving it. It looks like xxxx cosmetically and the leather seats have been destroyed by the 7 rescue dogs that have been part of our family since 2012, but it has only stopped running once. I've had what I would call 2 major repairs on 3 4Runners. The brake booster and master cylinder last year on this 99, and some type of sensor down below the belt that caused a major oil leak and then it wouldn't start this past spring. The part was only $25, but I paid my mechanic neighbor $200 to do the repair instead of $800 for labor elsewhere. And it was already 23 years old and had 225,000 & 230,000 miles on it before those 2 things happened. And just FYI from an old lady, NEVER take a vehicle to a dealership to be repaired! I'm probably a bit older than you so I learned that lesson decades ago. Find a good independent mechanic and treat them like you do your Mama because they are an important person in this life. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with yours, but I have loved every single one of mine, and the thought of driving something else literally hurts my feelings. I've owned this car for at least a year now. And the ride comfort is better than they say. It is on the road I'm impressed with the off-road. Ability of this vehicle. Love the looks and the style. I was actually looking for a truck. When I bought this but I'm glad I made my decision for the forerunner.

I’ve owned a 2022 Toyota 4Runner sr5 for around 2 years now and the whole time I’ve put that thing through basically xxxx, and it has never ever broken, or had anything wrong with it, it may not be considered a truck to some but it sure has driven better than any truck I’ve ever driven, the 4Runner is a beast
