Hands down, Torrington Toyota is the best dealership. As a customer for the last 20 years, I have dealt with every department of the dealership from sales to finance to service to auto body. I continue to recommend and refer friends and family due to the overall phenomenal quality service. Not only do I bring my 4-Runner in for service but I also refuse to bring my son's Chrysler 300 c anywhere else. Service Manager, Joe Belfiore, treats customers with the utmost respect and never fails to go above and beyond with true to term "white glove service". This approach to customer service (all too commonly not practiced today) carries through with all of the staff he supervises.
To walk into a dealership in 2017 and to actually be able to trust representatives is not a common experience and one for which I am grateful.

I'm getting excellent fuel mileage averaging 57 MPG in the summer and 52 in the winter. My only complaint is the interior space. We feel a shortage of legroom in the front and rear. Entering and exiting the vehicle is difficult.

Finally fell upon this place on Internet and could not get over their huge inventory of cars, some newer, that I actually liked! Did the usual dealership review and wow, negative feedbacks enough to make you want to avoid this place. But then I ran into a coworker who told me he bought 3 cars here without a problem. I went to look at car I picked off internet on Sunday and drove it home last night (4 days), couldn't be happier!!!

You can never go wrong with toyota and specially hybrid. I bought this brand new and used for commute to and from work. Save alot of money on gas and i still get average of 38-40 miles per gallon.

I had already researched hybrid vehicles and have owned two so I already had picked out this v eff hickey for a rest drive. Both my previous hybrid cars, a civic and a Prius, have/had smaller engines, so the added power of a larger engine felt nice. Very roomy and comfortable.

Great car all around and performance when needed

Great car I purchased the first batch that came out back in August of 2017 manufactured at the Kentucky plant. It performs great and is a huge jump from the Scion tC 2012 I had before. With that no matter how conservative I drove I would get 24 mpg, with 2018 SE CamHy and replaceing of K&N engine air filter (replaced cabin also), I'm getting around 50mpg average on most trips on Eco setting.
Never really need to use the Sport mode, but it's nice to have the power when needed available at a buttons push. Also changed the stock OEM Hankook tires to Continental PureContact LS, and the car is now perfect. Much better handling and grip and fuel economy with the new Contis.
The safety features of a luxury car and at a reasonable price. Currently gas prices are going up so I'm glad I invested in this rather than a gas guzzling trendy SUV or CUV, especially when most people don't even use all that extra space. Can't go wrong with this vehicle.

Went in for a disturbing noise w/o an appt. While the car was there, it was discovered that the right front tire had a flaw and needed to be replaced immediately. The service rep, Thynthia Feliciano, indicated that it'd cost $111 to replace the tire. I knew the tire was virtually new and had to be still under warranty, and I indicated so. It took a certain amount of time to ascertain the purchase date (31 Aug 18), but once that was determined, the replacement process began. So on to parts ... May I say that the men in the parts dept. are terrific pains in the neck. They were so condescending to Thynthia that I was really kind of embarrassed for her. She seemed to take it in stride, but they could hardly have been more unpleasant in demanding the correct paperwork from a young woman who they clearly thought was beneath them. It took about 4 hours for the entire process to run its course. I didn't mind that too much; I had, after all, walked in without an appt. However, while intrastaff relationships are no concern of mine, I have to question the morale at Middletown Toyota???a place where I've always had my 132K mile Prius serviced???while a bunch of surly chauvinists are populating the parts dept.

1. Too many cars to choose from. That's always a good thing to have. 2. Experienced salesmen. A special mention for Tom Miller for being a great (read: honest) salesperson. I had a few concerns with the car I had finalized, and he made sure all of the concerns were looked into properly. You must go and ask for him if you end up visiting the dealership. 3. They do provide good financing rate. I already had a good rate from my bank, and yet they were able to match that rate. They definitely try to make you feel satisfied and comfortable while buying a car. I am happy with the purchase and the dealership. I would recommend it to everyone looking for a used car in the greater NY area.

A story worth telling..

While shopping using my 2017 Tacoma that was purchased at Middletown Toyota, I somehow misplaced (lost) $60.00. This was a bitter experience that was soon to be changed into a great experience. Shortly after, I took my truck into the dealer for service and after picking up the truck while driving it home I noticed something in my CD slot. After retrieving the object I realized that whoever did the work on my truck had found my missing $60.00 and placed it in my CD slot. WOW... Talking about honesty and high moral standards !!! I researched hybrid cars for 2 years before deciding to purchase a 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid LE. It's a wonderful car! It's quiet, very comfortable and extremely affordable. My wife and I drove it from Chicago to LA and back this summer. We averaged 55 mpg on this 6,000 mile trip. I have owned 4 Toyotas now and this 2018 Camry Hybrid is a gem!! 5 Star Plus!!!

We have purchased TWO vehicles from A-1 Toyota in the last six months. Our most recent was a 2017 Toyota Yaris. The purchase was the day before Thanksgiving, 2016. Despite the impending holiday and my late-in-the-day arrival time (4 pm), Mitchell Burban was steady, calm, professional and very easy to work with. The car hadn't been around long because part of our test drive was filling the gas tank! Mitch was also agreeable to having the test drive go past my house (about 3 miles away) so my wife could see the car! Since I had pre-approval from my credit union and had bought a used car from them in the spring, the process moved quickly and Carlos Orozco expedited all the necessary contracts and forms. I drove home in my new car by 6:30 p.m.! In the spring, our purchase was from Kevin Wright. Kevin evidenced the same characteristics as Mitch: steady, calm, professional and easy to work with. We bought a used 2013 RAV4. My wife Carol was lead buyer for this purchase. Unlike some salespeople who defer to the husband even though it is clear the wife is lead buyer, Kevin "got it" and directed his questions and information to my wife in a most respectful manner. Great vehicle. Only detractors are the back up camera/navigation screen puts off glare in sunlight. A better angle or a recessed shroud would help. Tires rumble at highway speeds. The switches for the technology package should light up to indicate that particular system is energized.
