Amazingly positive car buying experience!

I had been searching for a 2016 F250 Lariat, 6.2L gas with specific features. Local dealers (Springfield, IL) could not find one. Through USAA Car Buying Service, I was connected to a dealer in MO that found the truck I wanted. I drove down on Friday (98 miles one way) in my trade vehicle to work the deal. They low-balled my trade big time. Unwilling to compromise. Frustrated and irked, I drove home thinking this was not going to happen. Well, Google is your friend. Having the trucks VIN, I found that it was at Two Rivers Ford. Saturday morning I called TRF, spoke with John Qualkinbush, VERY nice and pleasant to talk with. Has that easy mid-south drawl and brotherly/fatherly manner. Sent him info on my trade and a couple of photos. Short time later he called back with an offer that was $2550 above the offer from the MO dealer. We discussed incentives, other numbers and quickly came to a deal I could be happy about. Monday morning I left the house at 4am and drove the 6 hours to Two Rivers Ford. Truck was ready, they evaluated my trade and all the numbers were exactly as we had discussed over the phone. No games, no him-haw. I already had my financing arranged through USAA and they have worked with USAA finance before so it was easy, painless and the best car buying experience I have ever had. I'm 54 years old so this is not my first rodeo in car buying, but it was, by far, the best. Kenny Fitzpatrick handled the signing and paperwork and it was also a great experience. Thank you John Q for an outstanding experience in working this deal and getting me my dream truck with no hassles. I would gladly drive 6 hours to Two Rivers Ford and John Q for another vehicle purchase.
