Important to choose a new car dealer w/ an excellent Service Dep't for warranty work, and I can't imagine a better one than Prestige, & especially their Service Manager Eric Eisgruber! He took in my 2009 Pontiac Vibe (GM's "corporate twin" of the Toyota Matrix) and personally took charge of diagnosing and fixing an engine problem that had baffled my selling dealer's service dep't AFTER SIX VISITS & $1300 in diagnosis & trial & error charges!!! GM even sent out a "Field Service Tech" who spent 8 hours diagnosing (which I was also charged for) who STILL had to call back to Michigan & have them tell him to pronounce it "bad cylinder head!" Eric explained that it was common for my engine's Variable Valve Timing Controller performance to get affected by dirty oil or other deposits as the engine gets up in years, & low & behold the problem was a bad water pump and a water-soaked oil filter! So I ended up paying a few hundred to fix those, rather than a few thousand for a new cylinder head from GM that wouldn't have fixed the problem! Eric also charged me ZERO for the diagnosis! He genuinely felt bad for me and acted like it was Prestige's responsibility to fix the problem!I also liked that he diagnosed the old-fashioned way, by driving the car & disassembling parts of the engine, not just hooking up the car's computer to Prestiges's, like my GM dealer always did. I've been back for routine maintenance since, & Eric has always treated me like a customer who bought my car and 20 others from Prestige! In my life I've bought 7 new cars, both American & Foreign, yet Prestige's Service Department is by far the best I've ever dealt with. They obviously put customer satisfaction FIRST, ahead of making money! So keep that in mind when shopping for a new or used car - after you drive it off the lot it'll be the Service Dep't. that you'll be dealing with for years!
