Used Toyota RAV4 Prime for sale near Tewksbury, MA under $50,000

My daughter bought a 2017 RAV 4 from Wellesley Toyota this past weekend - this was her first experience buying a car from a dealership. The entire process was even better than I had hoped for. Everything was very straight forward - NO GAMES. Marcus DeOliveira was our sales consultant and he could not have been easier to deal with - very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant!!

If you want a RAV4, get the plug-in hybrid. The larger electric motor delivers much better acceleration than the standard hybrid. The infotainment system is a bit erratic and it is sometimes necessary to fiddle with it to get the radio to play. The mechanical systems are top-notch, fit and finish are good, and the car is pleasurable to drive. Electric driving range is up to 45 miles, depending on outdoor temperature. The 120 volt charging works well, but takes up to 12 hours for a full charge. If your car does not sit that long, you will want a fast charger.

High points: Extremely quick, versatile as an off road and ski car as well as classy for nights on the town. Unbelievable range as I have gotten over 50 miles electric equal to some older all electric cars. Low points: My SE model lacks fast charging. Tires squeak loudly at 5 miles per hour, handling when cornering not precise, some interior plastic cheap for a 50k car.

We had a totally electric Mustang Mach E which we traded for this car since the range and infrastructure both were not ideal. The Toyota RAV4 Prime is the best of both worlds since it is a plug-in hybrid and is the car I should have purchased originally. It gets between 44 - 50 miles on totally electric charge (for around home) and about 500 miles on a fill up of the gas tank (hybrid used on the highway). Pricing was NOT ideal as they added a "Market Adjustment" to the price so it was above MSRP.

Quick and efficient service appt made for 8am was done about 930am, service rep explained what was done and provided written paperwork.Also pleasant room to watch TV while waiting for my car.

Love this vehicle! I am a older person and really enjoy the features that the RAV4 offers to senior citizens. The ease of driving and parking is a dream with the rear camera screen. NO room for accidents with back up parking. Love the feature of fuel monitoring especially at a stop light it will shut down to conserve fuel and the minute you step on the gas it with take over. I'm all about saving gas!! Tail gate is another fabulous feature, as I am very short and love that it lifts and closes with no assistance. This is my 3rd RAV4 I have owned, by far the best 2022.

Always a great job. Matt B is a phenomenal rep at IRA. He always answers all of my questions and responds so quickly when i call him. The only thing was the tech forgot to reset my service soon warning after service.

We bought this car after studying the market for a while and were told that there would be a 3-36 month wait for one that we wanted to be available. Then after giving them a deposit, in a couple of weeks a show car from the local auto show became avaialble. It was exactly what we wanted, and has been a blast to drive and ride in, and with the plug-in hybrid, sinfully inexpensive to operate. I am in the process of getting a level 2 charger installed at my home.

Fun to drive; the electric motor provides great acceleration. The multimedia system can be a nuisance if you mainly want to listen to radio. Fit and finish are excellent.

I purchased my RAV4 prime plug in a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier! The EV range is just enough to get me to work and back and the hybrid engine seems to sip gas. The seats are comfortable and I don’t feel like I’m sitting too high or too low. The features are intuitive and I don’t get frustrated trying to find a feature.

This is hands down the best dealership in Massachusetts. The staff is very friendly, Knowledgable, and attentive to your needs. DON'T EVER BUY A KIA. May I say that this car is miles above the KIA Sorento that I got rid of in order to buy this new car. Kia was such a nightmare because I never was able to get in and try to start it and many times the car wouldn't start. I lost count of the number of times I had to take it in and was told the problem was fixed, but it never was fixed. I purchased my Rav4 from Glen Toyota in New Jersey Wow what a difference it was in my purchase experience. I am convinced this will be totally different this time around.

I've only had it for a month so far. The only annoying option in the Rav4 is the lane keeping assist. At highway speeds it constantly fights the driver unnecessarily. Otherwise, I'm in love with this vehicle. The MPG is amazing.

This is a follow up to my review of 3/28. Went from disappointed to blown away and beyond pleased and satisfied. Spoke with them, they understood my disappointment and went out of their way to help me. Picked up my 2025 Corvette from them today, a week later. I highly recommend MacMulkin. Even though they are over 4 hours away they will be my first option for all future vehicle purchases. Do not hesitate to put them at the top of your list of dealers to consider. It's got great power and sleek design. Comfortable interior and best of all gets around 100 mpg. Comes with a regular plug in charger, takes 12 hours but can buy and have a 240V plug installed for faster charging if needed. When the charge runs out the engine kicks in smoothly you can barely notice!
