Used Toyota RAV4 Prime for sale near Wilmington, MA under $50,000

My daughter bought a 2017 RAV 4 from Wellesley Toyota this past weekend - this was her first experience buying a car from a dealership. The entire process was even better than I had hoped for. Everything was very straight forward - NO GAMES. Marcus DeOliveira was our sales consultant and he could not have been easier to deal with - very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant!!

If you want a RAV4, get the plug-in hybrid. The larger electric motor delivers much better acceleration than the standard hybrid. The infotainment system is a bit erratic and it is sometimes necessary to fiddle with it to get the radio to play. The mechanical systems are top-notch, fit and finish are good, and the car is pleasurable to drive. Electric driving range is up to 45 miles, depending on outdoor temperature. The 120 volt charging works well, but takes up to 12 hours for a full charge. If your car does not sit that long, you will want a fast charger.

This was my best car purchasing experience ever. Great sales team - imagine someone saying that - and the you can't beat the car warranty and price for the Mitsubishi Mirage

We bought this car after studying the market for a while and were told that there would be a 3-36 month wait for one that we wanted to be available. Then after giving them a deposit, in a couple of weeks a show car from the local auto show became avaialble. It was exactly what we wanted, and has been a blast to drive and ride in, and with the plug-in hybrid, sinfully inexpensive to operate. I am in the process of getting a level 2 charger installed at my home.

Fun to drive; the electric motor provides great acceleration. The multimedia system can be a nuisance if you mainly want to listen to radio. Fit and finish are excellent.

This is my second experience buying a new car from Toyota of Braintree. I couldn't be happier with the professional and personal service. I waited a long time for my new Corolla Cross because of the pandemic and supplly chain issues but it was worth it. Really liked the consistancy of having one salesman. I purchased my RAV4 prime plug in a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier! The EV range is just enough to get me to work and back and the hybrid engine seems to sip gas. The seats are comfortable and I don’t feel like I’m sitting too high or too low. The features are intuitive and I don’t get frustrated trying to find a feature.

Very good but not able to give 5 star for now. I just got the vehicle today. I need to drive the vehicle more. Ira Subaru always are good on service and responsable. My recommendation, have your self the extended warranty/service agreement. The repairs always are expensive on Subaru.

We had a totally electric Mustang Mach E which we traded for this car since the range and infrastructure both were not ideal. The Toyota RAV4 Prime is the best of both worlds since it is a plug-in hybrid and is the car I should have purchased originally. It gets between 44 - 50 miles on totally electric charge (for around home) and about 500 miles on a fill up of the gas tank (hybrid used on the highway). Pricing was NOT ideal as they added a "Market Adjustment" to the price so it was above MSRP.

DON'T EVER BUY A KIA. May I say that this car is miles above the KIA Sorento that I got rid of in order to buy this new car. Kia was such a nightmare because I never was able to get in and try to start it and many times the car wouldn't start. I lost count of the number of times I had to take it in and was told the problem was fixed, but it never was fixed. I purchased my Rav4 from Glen Toyota in New Jersey Wow what a difference it was in my purchase experience. I am convinced this will be totally different this time around.

Always a great job. Matt B is a phenomenal rep at IRA. He always answers all of my questions and responds so quickly when i call him. The only thing was the tech forgot to reset my service soon warning after service.

It's got great power and sleek design. Comfortable interior and best of all gets around 100 mpg. Comes with a regular plug in charger, takes 12 hours but can buy and have a 240V plug installed for faster charging if needed. When the charge runs out the engine kicks in smoothly you can barely notice!

This is a follow up to my review of 3/28. Went from disappointed to blown away and beyond pleased and satisfied. The RAV4 Prime is a hybrid-electric vehicle with a bigger battery than the hybrid-electric version of the RAV4. It has Lots of power, all-wheel drive, decent handling along with versatile utility of the compact SUV. This is not an electric vehicle in that the gas engine will operate under certain conditions even though the 'electric mode' has been selected. That said, gasoline usage is reduced if 'electric mode' is used exclusively and the trip distance is less than 35 or 40 miles. My suggestion for Toyota (and anyone else building a "plug-in hybrid") is to increase the battery capacity to 60 miles of electric range. The range-extended electric 2nd Generation Chevy VOLT will deliver around 52 miles of electric range depending on driving and weather conditions and will nearly eliminate gasoline usage for most people. The VOLT electric-drive system is different from the TOYOTA hybrid-drive system. The VOLT will operate as an electric-drive vehicle until either the battery is depleted or the driver selects the "Hold" mode. The car then operates as a gasoline-hybrid-drive and reserves the battery charge for later use as a full-electric drive vehicle. The result of these two different drive systems is that the RAV4 Prime has given us an overall of 100 MPG verses the Gen2 VOLT of 164 MPG. Both have saved considerable gasoline. We recharge regularly at home on Level 1 or Level 2 and almost never 'top-off' at public charging sites. Both have been excellent vehicles with the RAV4 giving more carrying capacity with the trade off of requiring more fuel.
