Used Volkswagen Passat for sale near Montvale, NJ under $100,000

Bought it brand new. Overall not bad but has some flaws in ergonomics. Cheap plastic that doesnt stay in place. Had to glue gas tank door plate to prevent it from coming off. Little bit underpowered for a turbo. Windows control in weird place, never can get the right bottom without looking. Transmission always shifts like it cant pick the gear it wants to be in. May upshift and downshift at the same time which feels like you get kicked in the rear.

At a different Volvo dealership, my car was sitting waiting for service from the 13th. Prestige Volvo kept giving me extended wait times despite me calling to get a rough lead time before getting my car towed there. On the 29th I ran out of patience. Smythe and a few other Volvo dealerships have told me that they can see it on the same day or next if I get it towed there. I've had a good experience at Smythe with my old 99 S80, so I chose them. My car was seen the same day. The difference in service was night and day. I received a digital sign off on the work to be done, along with a video of things to look out for. I couldn't believe it. Meanwhile, I would probably still be waiting around for my car to be seen at the other dealership. I don't know what their issue was, and it no longer matters. I won't be back there ever. Bought a 2016 CPO with about 65k miles. (Never had to use the warranty). 1.8 L turbo engine has surprising low end torque and lots of highway passing HP. GREAT MPG! Lots of leg room for all passengers. A really great road trip car. Lost it in a crash @ 110k :(

Great value for your money. Surpassed toyota canary for price and value. Only downside small 6.5 screen other than that the gas mileage is through the roof.

This is my 3rd passat I'm sad they are no longer making them so I bought my car this time when my leg was up.

Employees came in on days off to help me, and were very willing to help. They were knowledgeable and friendly.

The car was bumped when being pulled out of the dealership and there was a dent on the back bumper as a result. The interior had colored pencil and other marks inside, and there was a small tear in the backseat leather. There is an issue with the EPC where a sudden stop, or jolt of the vehicle will cause the EPC light to go on and the car will start to drive funny. When driving conditions are stable and it is reset by turning the car off, that isn’t a problem. Though I may just take it in to the dealership to have them fix any and everything wrong.

I purchased my SEL from a dealership with only 13k miles. Great Value with every option you can get in a car the only thing it doesn't come with is a Heads Up Mph Display. The Fender Speakers System with Apple Car Play sounds rich. It has Wifi Bluetooth ,Heated back seats, Trunk Release by Foot, Remote Start, Rain Sensing wipers, auto dim rearview mirror. Door Entry lights auto, unlocks car automatically with a push button start. I wish the engine had more muscle. Overall so far 4.5 Stars

Our 2022 VW Passat Limited Edition is proving to be a fine family car. It is comfortable, fuel efficient and has lots of safety technology. We are so glad we bought one.

I bought a 2014 VW Passat SE in 2014 Brand New. I have done all the recommended maintenance on the car since I bought it and I have never had it break on me. I just hit 100k last month. I was driving down the highway a few weeks ago and I hit what appeared to be a piece of concrete or asphalt in the road. It made a loud thud under my car and I immediately lost power and the car turned off. I had it towed to the dealership. Whatever I hit took out my fuel pump that is inside the gas tank. They charged me $2100 to fix it. So I can tell you first hand these cars are reliable if you do all the maintenance like you are supposed to. But when they do Break, they cost way more than they should to fix them!

The Passat is a solid sedan and very reliable. I like the way it drives and feels on the road. The interior is very good size with more backseat and trunk room by far. The R Line is the best

I love my Passat SE. My only complaint: being 6'1" I find it somewhat difficult to get in and out of the car. It sits too low. But once in the car it's most comfortable and a pleasure to drive. The driving assists and adaptive curse are marvelous. I think it's one of the nicest looking cars I've ever owned.

My wife and I are very pleased with our choice of the 2018 VW Passat SE. The value received with nice interior and exterior features is excellent. I wish could find and afford the V6 version, but the gas mileage with the 2.0 Turbo is really nice.

I have had this car from new. Leased new for 39 months. Will definitely purchase the car. There is really nothing negative about this car. Roomy, loaded with features, comfortable ride. Economical to drive. Great paint and fit and finish. When I leased this car, Imdrove a lot of different brands. Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Mazda, Ford. No comparison to Passat.

This was one of my favorite cars I test drove, but also one of the base models. It has a huge trunk and tons of room for a car seat or 2. Gets an average of 38-40mpg which is awesome for my driving to and from work.
