This is my 2nd XC40 and it is one of the most perfect cars but its by no means cheap. The car can be as loaded as its bigger brother, except for heads up display. They all use the same engines, with the exception of turbo types, and bi-turbo options. All Volvos are moving to mild hybrid as standard and all 2023 XC40's are now mild hybrids. The XC40 is nimble, loaded and well designed. It has just about every feature including all wheel drive, Google auto, panoramic sunroof, power tail gate, and leather seats, redesigned for 2023. It is stylish, detailed and not meant to feel like the entry model. In fact, it can cost more than its bigger brother the XC60! Driving it is a pleasure as it is preppy and confident.

Head Light control can not be seen on the column at night. Stock tires were horrible. I switched to yokohama's. The rims design in terrible. There is a space behind the spokes which allows for dirt and brake dust to build up. Difficult to give a finished look when detailing. Plus I can't use the GPS. NOT convenient to communicate with. Engine noise is disturbing. Biggest thing is the TPM. Would prefer it to actually read the psi of each tire. Raises your anxiety not knowing the true pressure.

After only a month, I am truly "in love" with my XC-40. I wanted to get one a few years ago. However, Covid-19 got in the way. When it was finally time to upgrade this year, I did it and have not regretted it. Great ride, all the safety features I wanted, excellent ride and handling , above EPA rated fuel economy, roomy seating. Plenty of room for my golf equipment.

Francesca Hamilton recently sold me a Volvo XC60 Hybrid plug-in at the Nashua dealership. I had not purchased a new vehicle in 13 years. I had much to learn, like what is a “trim” and how to “pair” my cellphone and the vehicle. Then there were the endless safety features and advantages of owning a plug-in model. In our two hours together, Francesca covered it all. She was polite and eager to explain the workings of the new technology. She carefully answered my questions, when other salespersons might have, understandably, rolled their eyes and took a deep breath. Francesca carefully explained the various bonuses and rebates and the advantages of the lease/buy program, which resulted in significant savings. After taking 3 pages of notes on the trim options and vehicle lease-buy-back plan, off we went for a test drive. With no pressure from Francesca to rush back to the dealership, together we covered the open highway and side streets of Nashua. As a final note, I was sold on the XC60 and made the purchase a day or two later. However, here is not where the story ends. I spoke with Francesca a couple of days later about my difficulty with setting up some of the electronic features on the dashboard. She invited me back to her office this week to help guide me through some of the more difficult features. Francesca is a truly gifted and skilled salesperson. I give her five stars and recommend to anyone to make Francesca’s desk their first stop when shopping for a new vehicle. She is well deserving of any monthly bonus of which she may be entitled. Working with Ronnie and Gavin from beginning to the end....in the dealership or over the phone was a pleasure. From the minute you walk in and until you leave you are taken care of. Love the tech in this car. Maps, adaptive cruise, auto high beam, lane warning, hybrid averaging 31 mpg. Still good power with the turbo. Excellent sound including the Bluetooth.

This car exceeds what’s most important to our family. Driver’s main cabinets and dashboard are easily available. Car identifies and responses to outside objects quickly. Such a smooth and quite ride. As noted in some reviews. The touch screen is a bit delay in response. Otherwise. It’s a great ride.

We bought an XC60 5 years ago from the dealership and Mike Coogan was our contact. He was rather new but he knew his stuff. We told him that we’d see him again. Guess what? Saw him last week. And yes we are now proud owners of an XC90. He has complete knowledge of the different Volvo models and he makes sure you are satisfied with his answer. But the best part of his presentation is that there is no “pressure “ to have one make a decision right there. The question doesn’t come up. Mike is valuable asset to the dealership and stands high on the mountain of salespeople. We have bought 4 Volvos from the dealership over the years. Oh one more thing. He is one heck of a person.

Great commuter car. Adaptive cruise control is better than most. Good mpg. Very attractive. Agile and good is small spaces ( city driving ). Base sound system should have more power.

We recently made an unplanned purchase of new 2020 XC90 at Danvers Volvo and the team there is a pleasure to work with.
