A Happy Man!

A little about me first. I???m a traveling salesman that covers the entire Northeastern U.S. market and drive roughly 30k-35k miles a year. Needless to say, leasing was not an option for me. Now given that I would have to finance the vehicle, long term reliability and having an excellent warranty were very important to me. My initial interest was BMW???s and Infiniti???s. But after test driving a few (bmw 440i xdrive and Infiniti Q50, Q60) i was not impressed when compared to how much i had to pay. I wanted a vehicle that had all the latest cabin technology and infotainment center, was comfortable to ride in, had great style and had good power while still being fuel efficient. If you had told me a year ago that I would be looking for a Volvo, I would???ve told you you???re crazy and that Volvo is an old persons luxury car. Well today I can tell you how completely wrong I was. I was in a situation where I needed a new vehicle ASAP as I had just sold mine. While out shopping around, my wife said why don???t we just stop by Volvo and have a look as she loves the styling of their SUVs. Upon arrival to Volvo of Edison, we briefly browsed the lot and we???re greeted by salesman, Jesus Garcia. Jesus was extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable, but was not pushy at all. Keep in mind that I had not done a research on Volvo, their vehicles or this particular dealership, which is something I would never normally do. However, Jesus took us to his office to better understand my needs and what my comfort level was financially. Within 5min after sharing, Jesus said he had the perfect car in mind and that I would really surprised. Let???s just say that I did not have high hopes. Jesus brought out a 2018 CPO Volvo S90 t5 was momentum, which had previously been used as a rental vehicle. When I explained to him that I did like knowing it had been a rental, he quickly put my concern to rest as the vehicle was a certified pre-owned and the vehicle cake with a 4yr unlimited mile bumper to bumper warranty. The test drive was nothing short of perfection. Just opening the door and sitting in the cabin, you immediately are surrounded by quality comfort and all the latest technology you could ever want. I mean seriously....this car is packed with tech goodies (I???m a big tech guy). But the most surprising part to me was how well the car drove from the surpisiing power of a 4cyl turbo charged engine to the cloud like ride to virtually eleiminated every bump in the road. Even my wife was in awe of how nice the ride was. Jesus took the time show all the cars features and answer any and all questions we had. It doesn???t stop here though. When we got back to the dealership to talk #s and try to make a deal, o told Jesus that I wanted nicer 20in wheels I had seen online versus the standard 19in wheels that were on it. Well, guess what, he went and spoke with the sales manager, Rudy and within 5min, he came back and said no problem. Now I???m not going to get into the amount that I paid or what we negotiated, but I can tell you that Rudy, Jesus and the finance manager, Jose went above and beyond my expectations and I ended up walking away with an amazing deal on a truly awesome vehicle. The team at Volvo of Edison were true professionals from the minute I walked to the minute I left the dealership with my CPO S90. I really can???t thank them enough for what they did for me and will be a customer for life. Even my wife said that she will be coming back to lease an XC60 when her current VW lease is up. I really can???t thank these guys enough for what they did for me.
