My 5th Geo Metro
I purchased my first 1992 Metro in 1996. Since then, I am on my 5th one. I love these little cars. I paid $2000 for the one I have now. It has a new engine. So, I will have it for several years. Body is in excellant condition. Has all repair receipts since purchased new. The original owner lives 3 miles from me. It is now an antique. Love my lil baby....

My favorite car of any I've owned
This is a review of the 1991 Geo Metro. This is my favorite car and the yardstick by which I measure all other cars. The 91 Metro hatchback has only 3 cylinders, but with a manual transmission you can make it perform wonders. I never felt as if I suffered from lack of power when I needed it. The gas mileage is phenomenal. I consistently got over 50 miles per gallon even in its old age. I should say that I never got below 50 MPG and a lot of the time I got 52 MPG or more depending on whether the driving was city or highway. Compare that to today's cars and they leave a lot to be desired. The back seats folded down and when the hatchback opened, there was a lot of cargo space. The little Metro was like a mini truck. I moved twice using the Metro as my main vehicle of moving. The only drawback to this car was that it did not have air conditioning which is understandable given the three cylinders and promised gas mileage. I got used to driving with the windows down. I loved my Geo Metro. Absolutely, loved it, and this was the only car I had that I ran the wheels off. That is to say, I didn't trade it in and kept it until the end of its life. I wish I still had it.

I LOVE my Geo Metro LSi Convertible!
I am a new-to-me 1991 Metro Convertible owner as of May, 2015. I read a lot of posts written by Metro owners to get educated before I took the plunge, and SO glad I did! My Geo is blast to drive and being a stick, even more fun. It's in pristine condition for 24 yrs old with 93,000 miles, never seen winter, not a lick of rust. Seats were redone with 2" of foam added for comfort and recovered with vinyl. Door panel covers and floor carpeting also updated. The engine compartment is immaculate and it passed Etest and Certification with flying colours. I am consistently getting...yes, it's true...58mpg. And I love that it's DIY friendly. It's not gonna getcha anywhere fast, but is sure is 2FUN42!
