  • A 2014 and 2019 Fusion I’ve had.

A 2014 and 2019 Fusion I’ve had. Still driving the ‘19. ‘14 was that great red color, Se but back then you could load it ( came like that ), An SE model with leather, moonroof heated seats - same as top of line except no Sony radio. Had a 2008 Audi A6 - this Fusion reminded me so much of the Audi, when pulling away has this heavy feel, almost as quiet as A6. almost as smooth- interior - we know who took that. My 2019 has 109K on it - really only one problem, check engine light came on - Oxygen sensor - tires, brakes battery, I read somewhere that Ford stopped it because they didn’t really make any money, the SUV craze. Simple car no problem. First new car for me was 1985 Toyota Corolla - 13 years and 235,000 miles when the head gasket went.

  • I have a 2019 AWD titanium with the 2 lt ecoboost.

I have a 2019 AWD titanium with the 2 lt ecoboost. I hear bad things about the engine later but it hasn't been an issue at all. Bought it at 32k miles now at 62k after 4 years. Has been very reliable for me. Had to replace the tires, brake pads, and battery after 4 years but all that is standard wear and tear. Otherwise no issues at all except for one time when I needed to reset the console as it was stuck showing only the backup camera view. The equipment on the Titanium is exceptional. It really is as good or better than the top spec of many cars now in production in terms of equipment. I love the safety features and with the AWD it just can't slip even in torrential rain. This is important for me as where I live there are two or three lane regular roads that wind around quite a bit (with reasonable hills) but have a 55-65 mile an hour speed limit. Haven't tried it in snow but I imagine it will be equally good there. On dirt tracks its just fine even though it has limited clearance. Its basically a car for anyone. It's sporty enough that it can perform well (I have checked and the 0-60 is indeed around 6 seconds), however with AWD and all the safety features it works as a family car too and the Titanium spec is comfortable enough for a long distance cruiser and feels pretty luxurious. The 13 speaker stereo is also really nice for long journeys. The only bad thing about it is the fuel economy isn't great especially if you drive it sportily at all. But if, like me, you want a great all round car that you can on the odd occasion take to a track and not look completely stupid, this one is definitely fine and even the paddles respond fast.

  • Hate that they discontinued them

Great first car in my opinion, I’ve had 2 fusions now. My second one 19’ SE ecoboost (current) does have its issues such as transmission problems that I’ve never had in my 16’ SE but it rides comfortably, looks good, very safe and puts down some good power for a 1.5 liter. When I got into my accident with the 16’ it was honestly not bad, solid hit but I barely moved and the car took the impact really well (airbags did not deploy) ford is really tough lol. I’m in love with this car and I hoping to transfer to fusion sport soon. Definitely a sleeper just wish it could look more aggressive

  • Piece of junk engine

I got a great deal onvthis car as a 2019 leftover demo with 3000 miles on it. They took 9000.00 iff the sticker at the beginning of Covid. Ran fine but for a 1.5 liter engine gas mileage sits at around 25 or 26 not really that good. Problems started at 35000 miles, Bumper to Bumper warranty just ended due to time. About 15 days later engine light was coming on acceleration was wacky, changed spark plugs them the coils. This didnt fix it. Called the dealership they brought it in, told me there is a problem with the colllant or some sort of defect in the seal of some of these engines. Needs a whole new engine. Just 35 k. Luckily the powertrain warranty is still good. Terrible that an engine only lasts this long. I have never had to replace an engine in cars with over 100k. Wont buy another Ford for a while.

  • Solid, safe, and so reliable. Love both my Fusions

I've had two Fusions, a 2016 Eco Boost and a 2019 SE Hybrid and they were both really great cars. The only reason I don't have one now is because I need an SUV since I'm an avid skiier. I hated selling the second and hope to have one again. They were both SO reliable and I didn't have to fix a thing on either of them during the lease duration. They're solid and have a 5-star safety rating. I literally felt safer in my Fusions than I do in my Nissan Rogue. The Rogue doesn't have the solid frame the Fusion does. I absolutely recommend.

  • Exactly the same as a Lincoln mkz. Coolest car I'v

Bought a used 2019 fusion for my daughter. This car is identical to my Lincoln mkz.....which is exactly why I bought it. If you are sad that Ford no longer makes the fusion, buy a Lincoln mkz.

  • Crankshaft sensor

I bought this Fusion with 46,000 miles on it. Found that it's previous owner was a rental car company. Within 2 weeks of purchase it needed a crankshaft sensor. It was taken care of 100% by the dealer. Minus downtime. Since then I love it.

There is always something going on with the transmission. Cad has been in and out of the shop since I have got it. Bought the car with only 25 miles on it.

  • Decent midsize car with minor issues (so far)

I got my 2019 Ford Fusion with 20k miles on it and it is currently at 29k. Overall, the car has been great, however there are some minor annoyances that I’d like to point out. For starters, the engine can be a bit loud depending on how fast you accelerate (I have the turbo charged engine) and the sound seems to carry inside the cabin quite well, especially without music playing. There are also so extremely, extremely annoying rattles and vibrations that come from inside the cabin when driving, especially with no music on and they quite honestly make me want to go crazy. This is no surprise tho as Fords are known for this over time. Next, I’d like to point out how awful the automatic rain sensing wipers are. I will be sitting at a stop light in a mild sprinkle and my car looks like it’s trying to fly away with how fast my wipers are going and when I’m in a torrential downpour, my wipers act as if it’s not raining. I have changed wiper blades and although this helped a bit, the sensors still suck! And finally, probably the biggest inconvenience is the driver side leg room. I am 6’2 and even with the seat fully back, my legs are at a near 90° angle which makes for an uncomfortable drive, although, the ceiling height is perfect for taller people! Aside from these annoyances, this seems to be a reliable car with some great safety features and safety ratings, and some cool tech things as well. Would I buy this car again? Absolutely not. In fact, I plan to trade it in once I get a bit more paid off and plan to go with something other than a Ford. Do I think this car is worth the price tag? Yes, at least as of now but I can’t say how long the car will hold up since it’s only at 29k miles right now. Basically, this seems to be a good car with some cool features and decent power, however, that comes with a handful of annoyances but I guess that’s to be expected for the price tag and the fact that this is a Ford.
