Seller’s notes about this car

This PT has been in Arizona for 15 years, but picked up some rust while in Minnesota with it's first owner. There are some areas of rust on the wheel wells, door bottoms, and also the bottom of the hatch back. The engine runs well and the AC blows cold, but this car has a lot of miles on it. This could be a good car for someone who can do the repair work themselves. 2001 was the first year of issue for the PT Cruiser, but it may never be destined to become a classic car. Clean title. Issues Include: Rust Plastic top of the dashboard has cracks Paint is faded Windshield needs replacement due to 2 long cracks and a chip. 3 of the tires are 4 years old, with one having been replaced this July. Battery is 2 years old, and will need replacement soon Spare tire is a donut that works, but could stand to be replaced due to age. The glass on the roof is motorized, but I haven't opened it in many years and the rubber seal may need replacement. The front and rear wipers work but the wiper fluid doesn't. I suspect the pump needs replacement. There is residue from adhesive emblems on the hatch. The hood has a couple of holes where an ornament had been mounted. The oil pan has a piggyback drain plug that some oil change shops refuse to work with. A solution is to do your own oil changes, or replace the oil pan. Ride is a little bumpy as shocks and struts are about 8 years old. Recent Work 2 New Motor mounts, plus water pump and timing belt kit were installed June 2025 at 179900 miles. AC high pressure switch replaced, AC line seals updated, and system holds charge well now. New engine cooling fan installed. March 2025 at 178500 miles Oil change Feb 2025 at 178000 miles New brake drums, rotors, pads, shoes and hardware were installed Jan 2023 Included: Jumper cables, Old Chilton's repair manual, new spark plugs and wires, a few light bulbs, 2 air filters, oil filter, and a few minor misc. parts. I bought a used 2001Pt cruiser and love the car it’s roomy runs ok and looks nice it’s a keeper for me maybe one day a collectors vehicle good on gas too

The p/t cruiser and the potential they have to be

Found this car for $500 started up and drove it away.Now this car was on my list of wouldn't want to own cars but since buying it I have learned to love it since as a arborist which means tons of tree climbing equipment and a Father of 2 boys it has room for everything.This car owes me nothing and I'm even putting money in for upgrades ......love this thing

Ok ride

I bought this jalopy for 3500. 2001 pt cruiser limited. 80.000 miles. It needed some work, brakes, bushings, new power steering pump. Probably needs a timing belt and new water pump, but for something that’s 21 years old..it’s obviously in need of some work, as long as it’s not an engine or transmission. I’m ok with it. Mileage in this day of 5 dollars a gallon gas sucks at around 20 mpg. But it starts and runs. In ok shape. I’m happy so far.
