Seller’s notes about this car
I am selling for $6,000 or a good offer since my son just wants enough money to get a Nissan XTerra. The title is clean.
We have maintained the automobile with any maintenance required including new hub bearings on 5/28 and new control arms on 5/14. I have a few routine maintenance parts that I will have put on as time allows unless it sells first. These include the tension pully, the cam cover gasket--what was known as a valve cover gasket on overhead valve engines, and the atypical Mazda ignition parking switch--all these are minor fixes that require an afternoon without any interruptions or an hour each at a mechanic and, again, I have the parts.
2013 grey CX5 with 212,000 miles with a couple of dings on the exterior and interior. Keep in mind my son is driving to school in Kingsville and back along with general commuting so the mileage is going up daily. It had 150,000 miles on it when we got it.
This is the top model with all the bells and whistles, all wheel drive model--leather...sunroof...
Anyway, I got it for my son to have a middle of the road car instead of his old four wheel drive truck to take his driving test in but we really don't like the car. It's just not our cup of tea.
It is a good car with a new tune up including the dreaded pcv valve change, which cost a lot of labor to replace a $5 part.
We bought the car in August 2023 and we always go through and bring it up to par to go any where we want.
It has all new brake system up front, a new caliper in back along with a new master cylinder. I will order a new caliper when I wrap up other things just to make it new. It is now needing a couple of front tires which have been ordered and are supposed to be here on 8/25.
Typical 'round town driving delivers 28 to 29 on Texas ethanol while bringing 32 to 35 on highway.
It ain't no Xterra, ok, but it will get a family where they need to go on the beach and back as long as the driver doesn't act the fool; just turn off the traction control and let the thang do its thang...not bad.
We made sure we washed the underneath of the car thoroughly after we went to the beach.
We have decided to sell it or trade for an XTerra,These are better suited to his needs. If someone wants a change in gas mileage with decent offroad (not full-blown offroad) performance, then give us a call. Here is a pretty good review of a CX5:

Ya gotta have the cash which I will hold or bank loan acceptance letter before you drive the car. We would consider trading for a Nissan Xterra 2 or 4 wheell drive.
It's a pretty clean car.
