The 2017 Ram 1500 Express Crew Cab is a rugged yet refined full-size pickup that delivers power, utility, and a surprising level of comfort and technology. With its bold styling and HEMI V8 performance, this truck is built for work, play, and everything in between.

At its heart is the legendary 5.7-liter V8 HEMI MDS VVT engine ($1,250), delivering robust horsepower and torque, ideal for towing and hauling. Paired with the smooth and responsive 8-speed automatic 8HP70 transmission ($500), the Ram 1500 offers both power and fuel efficiency. The 3.92 rear axle ratio ($95) and anti-spin differential rear axle ($395) further enhance traction and low-end torque, making it well-suited for both on-road and off-road performance.

The Express Package 26J ($1,900) brings a bold exterior aesthetic, replacing the standard black bumpers and grille with body-color front and rear fascias, and upgrading to 17-inch aluminum wheels with fog lamps and dual rear exhaust with bright tips, giving the truck a sportier, aggressive stance. For added visual appeal and functionality, this model is equipped with optional 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels ($1,400) wrapped in P275/60R20 OWL all-season tires, ensuring a commanding presence on the road.

While the Express trim comes standard with a spray-in bedliner, this particular model deletes it in favor of customization flexibility. It also removes the original Class IV receiver hitch, though a new one is added back as a separate option ($345), along with standard towing equipment including a 7-pin wiring harness and trailer tow with 4-pin connector.

Inside, the Crew Cab configuration provides spacious seating for up to six passengers, with features designed for comfort and convenience. Outstanding truck Ride quality is best in class as is fit and finish. Drive a Chevy/gmc/ford and then drive a Ram. Just make sure you get a hemi.

At 40,000 miles, the oil pump died.

At 40,000 miles, the oil pump died. $2,000 to repair. At 50,000 miles cylinder 1 ignition coil and fuel injector have malfunctioned. $110 just to diagnose and estimated $760 to repair, Avoid the 3.6 liter at all cost.

My only problem is changing a headlight bulb you need to be a mechanic. Probably one of the hardest to replace on any vehicle. Half to take apart a lot just to get to it. Completely ridiculous.
