The truck runs great with 300.
The truck runs great with 300.000 thousand miles. But it has regular maintenance. I don't use it as a daily work vehicle any longer. It will probably outlast me.

6.0 tow beast!
I have owned 3 Fords 6.0 diesels, the first one was a “06 and I pulled a 16k# fifth wheel and I put 240k on it and traded it in for a “07 Ford F350 6.0 and it was a great truck and a guy approached me one day and asked me how much I wanted for the truck and jokingly him a price and he asked to test drive and after that he had me follow him to the bank and he bought it with just 84k miles on it and then I bought my neighbors “04 Ford F250 6.0 diesel 4x4 crew cab with just 96k miles and it is the best truck out of all of them so far !

Plenty of power, comfortable, good price point.
I bought one used with 119 thousand miles. Put 30 thousand miles on it by the end of the year. In that time, I had to replace two fuel injectors that simultaneously quit working. However, it did not stop me from getting home safely. I also had to replace the fuel sending unit in the tank. The plastic portion of the pickup tube had broken off. That also wasn't a major issue, I was able to fix it quickly and didn't leave me stranded as long as I kept the tank full. The engine is a lot easier to service than people make it seem. Same thing can be said for the rest of the truck. I got mine with the 6 speed manual, and it tows pretty okay. It would tow better with 4.10:1 ring and pinion gears. But as it is, it tows/hauls very well for it's age. It'll definitely keep up with newer trucks. I got the extended cab, and it has just enough space to carry passengers. But it sits very upright, and my not be comfortable for taller passengers. But a crew cab would be the answer for you in that case. But the extended cab back seat folds upwards so the floor is flat, and you can put a lot of tools or equipment back there. The dashboard and gauge cluster definitely screams early 2000's, but it's simple, functional, and easy to read. Has optional manual shift 4 wheel drive, which has been very handy. Mine also has an optional 8 foot bed, which I think is always a must. Very handy, and perfectly holds a 4x8 sheet of plywood. Overall, I think that the 03-07 Super Duty is a great truck to buy used. It's at an age where it's not brand new, but it's not vintage, either. So you can often get a pretty good price for a low mileage one (in the truck world 200 thousand miles is considered low miles.) Just find one that's been cared for, and read the owners manual and diesel engine supplement, take care of it yourself, and you'll have a great capable truck.
