Best Vehicle I've Owned
I've owned a 2010 Transit Connect since 2014 and it has been the best vehicle I've owned. I use it for work and haul a lot of movie production gear in it. Most of the time it stays half full and I drive it that way. It's been reliable and only needed standard maintenance, except for the transmission. I knew the transmission was a weak link when I bought it at 94,000 mis. It bit the dust at 120,000 mis. I had a rebuilt one installed and was assured that it'll be good for another 120,000 mis. I'm at 160,000 and it is still going strong.

Staty away from the Transit Connect AT ALL COSTS!
The 2014 Ford Transit Connect is, by far, the WORST van you'll ever buy, whether it's for work or leisure - in my case, for work. The seats are awfully uncomfortable, the backup camera is faulty at times (it tells you to see a dealership), the transmission went out within 4 years of buying this car NEW, I've gone through 3 batteries with this van, the tail lights are blowing out once a year, control arm went out... For the price of this car, you'd think technologies like collision avoidance or power seats would be standard, but nope! Buy this under-equipped and high-maintenance car and let it eat your pockets. It'll leave you with nothing to eat, anyways! My advice to you is this: if you're looking to get a work van, DO NOT BUY AN AMERICAN-BRANDED CAR. This car has close to 300,000kms on it.

FORD CAN DO BETTER!
I'm a second owner, received 2 recalls for locks and drivecaround with "bungied" tied down doors.the battery keeps dying out overnight needing a jump 8 times this year (2ice a week now). I noticed (4nights ago) the display panel area is HOT to the touch through the night with NOTGING turned on! I've woken up multiple times to a kida "Morse code/water dropping sounds) 3 times before the battery went dead....if I try cranking the car it won't start by this time, though the display panel feels warm. I AM A SENIOR (70yr old) disabled person on a fixed income and state displaced during COVID and practically "live" in my vehicle so I don't see how I can leave my vehicle for an extended period if time. ....the retail offered us half what I'm paying for it.
