Major design flaws! Car didn't last 50K miles!
I bought my Ford Focus 2014 Electric brand new, 8 years ago. It now has 46K miles on it, and the high voltage battery died. It won’t take a charge. The dealership is quoting $25K to replace the battery. Warranty expired in July, it died in October. Can't be repaired, the only way to fix the battery is to replace it. I’ve contacted the Ford corporation, and they said I was out of luck. Case # CAS40075993. It was a nice little car while it ran, and is still in good shape except for the fact that it won't move.

No more gas stations
Imagine driving by gas stations and waving instead of stopping. That's me, now that I own an Electric Focus. And, there are many places with free electricity in Sacramento, including my employer. In the Bay Area, I have access to the carpool lane even when driving solo because it comes with the "clean-air sticker." If I run the air conditioning, I get 70 miles; otherwise, I get closer to 90 miles per charge. Overall, I love my Ford Focus Electric.
