(upbeat music) Hi, I'm Mike Hanley with cars.com. We're here at the Los Angeles Auto Show with the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. This car arrives in spring 2009, and it's gonna be available with both V6 and V8 engines.
Let me take you through Chevrolet's re-incarnated muscle car. The Camaro's got a very low and wide look. As you go around to the front, you can see some of the details of the car, like this thin strip right above the grill. Come around to the side, you can see it's, overall, got a pretty clean look all the way down the side towards the back. Base Camaros have V6 power. It's a 3.6-liter direct injection engine that makes 300 horsepower. But if you step up to the SS trim level, like this model here, you get a V8 engine. It can make up to 422 horsepower. That's quite a bit of power. Both engines team with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The Camaro's interior provides a lot of visual interest. It's really unlike anything else Chevrolet currently has in their lineup. You can see it here from these red leather seats, to the center gauges under the air-conditioning controls, to the gauges themselves up in front of the steering wheel. It's just a pretty unique-looking cabin. The Camaro's now available for pre-ordering. You can get a base model for about $23,000, but the prices go all the way up to about $34,000 for a top-of-the-line SS trim level. From what we've seen so far, it looks like the Camaro's gonna be a hot seller. <v Narrator>For additional information on this car or any other, go to cars.com, and our blog, Kicking Tires.
