(heavy metal music) (sound of tailgate closing) (engine rumbling) As if the truck wars weren't heated enough, RAM has just come out with their top of the line trim package, the Laramie Limited. Let's take a look at the changes.
The most obvious changes with this trim package are right up here in the grill. Huge RAM lettering, R A M right here in front. Also, this is meant to mock a kind of a billet new front grill. So it's a completely new face for RAM. Big cutouts here, suck in a lot of air to keep the engine cool, and also a brand new headlight with LEDs. Also, 20 inch aluminum wheels, and custom brand new chrome molding along the sides. And if the lettering on the front grill, wasn't big enough, just go around to the back, gigantic R A M stamped into the tailgate. In fact, one of the unique features about this, is this is a completely unique piece for just this trim package. It actually sticks out from the flat surface of the steel, and plenty of chrome. You can't have a Laramie Limited trim package without tons of chrome. Inside is where this trim package really shines. High quality black leather, in every truck that gets sold with the Laramie Limited package on it. Also beautiful stitching in the seats, the center console, and on the dash. Piping, so you can get all the angles on the seats, and a very cool, completely redesigned center section here with a hidden storage. So you have a closable lock. It's not lockable, but you can hide things here. You don't want people that walk by to see. This is real brushed aluminum, and real wood accents in the door, on the dash, and in the center console. Brushed aluminum accents are also in the gauges, right here in front of the driver, and a unique font is used for all the numbers, and all the lettering on the gauges themselves, as well. Also Berber carpeting inserts in all the rubber mats inside this vehicle, Laramie Limited will be available on half tons, three quarter tons, and one ton trucks, and come in seven different colors. The half ton availability is going to be this Summer, and later in Fall, is when the 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks with this trim package will be available. We don't know pricing yet, but this is going to be the highest top of the line, RAM truck available. So it'll be competitive with the Ford Super Duty platinum or F150 platinum, and even the Sierra Denali packages as well. What the take rate on these? We don't know yet. A lot of that's going to be determined by price, but from what we see right now, this is pretty high quality stuff we've never seen before in the pickup truck market.
