Transcript

(engine starting) Volvo fans are familiar with the automakers Cross Country designation, something for its wagons that adds a little more jacked up capabilities for when the pavement ends.
So it goes with the latest Cross Country, the V90 Cross Country built off the same architecture as the XC90 SUV, and the S90 sedan. It's just a beautiful car here. Check out this long hood, really kind of snakes back up here into the A pillars, a very upright profile. What we've kind of come to expect from the S90 sedan as well. Now, the V90, the Cross Country version, actually gets a couple more inches of ground clearance here. Than the V90 wagon, a standard all wheel drive, obviously, and a little bit more cladding here around the fenders, and along the bottom. If you don't like the cladded look, Volvo says you can get body painted colors. You come around the back, you're about 35 cubic feet of cargo room behind the rear seats. Kind of a cool feature here, this actual cargo cover here comes up a little, so you can have easier access to your cargo. And as soon as you put, the lift gate down, it actually lowers into place as well. So some cool utility features there. And in fact, Volvo expects most of its sales of the V90 wagon in the states to be the Cross Country version. And it goes on sale next month, that would be March of 2017 starting price around $53,000.
