2017 Dodge Challenger T/A Performance Exhaust Video

CARS.COM — Dodge seems to produce more and more versions of the Challenger and Charger, with two more variants joining the squad for 2017 — the Challenger T/A and the Charger Daytona.

Here, I take a look at the 2017 Challenger T/A, which in this application is painted in super-bright Green Go and comes with other various exterior flourishes, such as a black-satin hood, roof and deck lid, air-catcher headlamps lifted from the Hellcat trim, 20-inch Hyper Black forged alloy wheels and Mopar black hood pins to complete the retro look.

But what piqued my interest is the addition of the 2.75-inch electronically controlled active performance exhaust system to models (such as this one) equipped with the “smaller” 5.7-liter Hemi V-8. This exhaust has been available on the larger 6.4-liter Hemi V-8s for the past few years, but now it’s on all of them, and it delivers true muscle car sound. Don’t believe us? Check out the video and take a listen for yourself.
