2022 Genesis GV70 SUV Priced From $42,045
The 2022 Genesis GV70 compact luxury SUV is the newest addition to the South Korean luxury marque’s roster of SUVs, joining the mid-size GV80 SUV that debuted as a 2021 model. Smaller than the GV80, the GV70 will also be a bit more affordable, with a starting price of $42,045 (all prices include destination) for the base trim, called the 2.5T AWD Standard.

Like its GV80 sibling, almost all trim levels of the GV70 can be powered by either a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder or an optional 3.5-liter V-6, both turbocharged. Unlike the GV80, all-wheel drive is standard at all levels of the GV70.
Pay More, Get More
Additional standard features of the base GV70 include LED exterior lighting, advanced driver-assist technology, 18-inch wheels, wireless device charging, faux leather upholstery, power-adjustable seats and a 14.5-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
For an extra $4,000, buyers can get a GV70 2.5T AWD Select, which adds a panoramic roof, 19-inch wheels, a premium 16-speaker stereo, ventilated front seats, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel and more.
Another $4,150 atop that gets you the 2.5T AWD Advanced, which adds leather upholstery, additional passenger-seat controls, a heated steering wheel and additional safety features, including the blind-spot and 360-degree camera systems as well as front and rear parking sensors.
The top trim is the 2.5T AWD Sport Prestige, which costs an additional $3,600 atop the Select and Advanced to land you at $53,795. The Sport Prestige comes with 21-inch wheels and sportier exterior and interior styling, along with Genesis’ Highway Driving Assist 2 hands-on driver-assist tech and a more advanced forward collision avoidance system. (A simpler version of Highway Driving Assist is standard on lower trims.)
Could’ve Had a V-6
Buyers looking for the turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 will have one fewer trim level to choose from. The 3.5T AWD Standard is priced from $53,645 — $11,600 more than the GV70’s base model — but rather than being a base model with a V-6, it’s closer to the higher-level four-cylinder models in terms of features (and just $150 less than the four-cylinder Sport Prestige). Standard features for the V-6 include 19-inch wheels, leather upholstery with mesh inserts and some of the same advanced driver-assistance tech as the 2.5T AWD Sport Prestige offers. It’s also the only way to get an adaptive suspension, a feature included on all 3.5T models but unavailable on the 2.5T.
For an additional $5,000, the 3.5T AWD Sport Advanced adds the blind-spot and 360-degree camera systems and front and rear parking sensors. Luxury touches like Nappa leather upholstery, a suede headliner and the 16-speaker premium stereo are also added.
The range-topping 3.5T AWD Sport Prestige costs an extra $4,900 on top of the Sport Advanced to ring up at $63,545. It gains a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, 21-inch wheels, Nappa leather upholstery with suede inserts, heated rear seats, carbon-fiber trim and a head-up display.

The AWD GV70’s starting price is less than rear-drive 2021 versions of the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC300; it’s also below the AWD Audi Q5, which has standard AWD. At the top of the lineup, the GV70 is significantly cheaper than the range-topping performance versions of those German SUVs.
