2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV Gets New LT Trim, Starts at $57,095

Chevrolet’s introduction of the Silverado EV was something of a soft rollout, as the truck was only available in the stripped-down Work Truck and fully loaded RST trims. For the 2025 model year, Chevrolet is starting to fill the $30,000 gap between those two with the new LT trim level and is increasing range across the board to a maximum of 492 miles for the WT.

The LT looks the part of a suburban pickup truck thanks to a painted front bumper, as opposed to the WT’s black plastic nose. It also gets upgraded exterior lighting — including an illuminated grille bow tie — an 11-inch digital instrument panel and a 17.7-inch touchscreen. The LT can tow and haul more than the RST, with a maximum trailer weight of 12,500 pounds and a payload rating of 1,800. It also gets a standard Multi-Flex Tailgate to help accommodate loads of various shapes and sizes.
Later in the model year, the LT Premium Package will become available. It adds 22-inch wheels, GM’s hands-free Super Cruise system and the brand’s Multi-Flex Midgate, a collapsible rear cab wall that extends the bed up to 10 feet, 10 inches.

Powertrain Specs and Range
Every 2025 Silverado EV has two electric motors, one on each axle. The WT’s motors produce a combined 510 horsepower and 580 pounds-feet of torque. Chevrolet does not specify the size of the Silverado’s battery packs but says the extended-range battery pack will propel the WT 422 miles or 492 miles with the Max Range pack; that not only bests every other electric pickup on sale today but most other EVs, period. A Standard Range WT will arrive later in the model year; Chevrolet will announce that truck’s range closer to its on-sale date.
In the new LT trim level, the two motors put out 645 hp and 765 pounds-feet of torque for brief spurts in Wide Open Watts mode. (Chevrolet is not quoting a nominal output for the LT or RST at this time.) The LT is only available with the extended-range battery, which provides for 408 miles of range on the standard 18-inch wheels and 390 with the Premium Package’s 22s.
At the top of the lineup, the Silverado EV RST generates 760 hp and 785 pounds-feet in WOW mode, which Chevrolet says allows it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds. The RST can travel 390 miles on a charge with the extended-range battery and 460 miles with the Max Range pack.
Availability and Pricing
Most trim levels of the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV will arrive at dealers later this year. The Standard Range WT will arrive in 2025, as will the LT with the Premium Package. Pricing, including the $2,095 destination fee, is as follows.
- WT Standard Range: $57,095
- WT Extended Range: $69,495
- WT Max Range: $77,795
- LT Extended Range: $75,195
- LT Extended Range Premium: $81,995
- RST Extended Range: $89,395
- RST Max Range: $97,895
Note that the $7,500 federal electric vehicle tax credit only applies to pickups with an MSRP below $80,000, but MSRP does not include the destination fee. So, while the above amounts are what your dealer may actually charge for a Silverado EV, the LT qualifies for the tax credit with or without the Premium Package. (The vehicle’s price is only half of the equation, however; buyer income must fall below $150,000 for single taxpayers, $225,000 for heads of household and $300,000 for joint filers.)
