Honda overhauled the Accord lineup for the 2023 model year, packaging a hybrid powertrain with the four highest trim levels. For 2025, the Accord SE replaces the EX, bringing sportier styling to non-hybrid buyers. Rear air-conditioning vents are now standard across the line, while heated front seats and a wireless phone charger are included on every hybrid and the Touring gets a heated steering wheel.

Powertrain Specs and MPG

The Accord LX and new SE share a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. It makes 192 horsepower and 192 pounds-feet of torque, which it sends to the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission. Honda says that non-hybrid Accords maintain their 2024 EPA ratings and return 29/37/32 mpg city/highway/combined.

The hybrid Accord lineup gets a 2.0-liter four-cylinder backed by a pair of electric motors; it’s good for combined output of 204 hp. A CVT and FWD again are the only drivetrain available. Most Accord hybrids are rated at 46/41/44 mpg, while the EX-L is optimized for maximum efficiency and returns 51/44/48.

Safety Features and Trim Levels

Honda Sensing is standard on every Accord. This suite of advanced driver-assist systems includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering, traffic-sign recognition and automatic high beams. In addition, the entry-level LX includes LED exterior lighting, keyless entry and starting, a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and four speakers.

The new SE trim doesn’t only replace last year’s EX; it’s more accurate to say the SE builds on the EX. It includes all of the 2024 EX’s features — a moonroof, power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and eight speakers — and adds black finishes on the 17-inch wheels and exterior trim. Blind spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard on the SE.

The hybrid Accord Sport also features black exterior accents, including its 19-inch wheels. In addition to the heated seats and wireless charger that are standard across the Accord hybrid family for 2025, the Sport features a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Smaller 17-inch wheels help the EX-L achieve its remarkable fuel efficiency. (Smaller wheels are usually lighter and thus take less energy to spin.) The EX-L also includes leather seats, a power-adjustable passenger seat, and front and rear parking sensors.

The Sport-L combines the EX-L’s luxury touches with the base Sport hybrid’s black styling accents. It also gains a memory driver’s seat and a rear diffuser.

The Accord Touring is a lot of car for $40,395 and includes heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated outboard rear seats, a 6-inch head-up display, Google Built-In and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
