CARS.COM — Maybe money can’t buy happiness, but $62,135 could put a grin on your face.
That’s the starting price for the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, a 650-horsepower, supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 coupe that is the most powerful production Camaro; it’s good for zero-to-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, says the automaker. The convertible version is priced at $69,135 (all prices include destination).
For buyers who want a track-ready Camaro on a tighter budget, Chevy also announced pricing for the 1LE Performance Package, which is available for the first time on V-6 models as well as V-8. The 1LE package is a $4,500 option on the Camaro V-6 1LT coupe, which starts at $28,795, and is $6,500 on the V-8 1SS coupe, which starts at $37,900.

While the engines are unchanged, the biggest 1LE additions for the V-6 coupe are the upgraded FE3 suspension and Brembo brakes from the Camaro SS, a mechanical limited-slip differential and a track cooling package. The 1LE package gives the SS V-8s the ZL1’s electronic limited-slip differential, FE4 suspension with Magnetic Ride dampers and upgraded Brembo brakes.
