With 25% tariffs on all imported vehicles having just gone into effect, Ford is jumping on the opportunity to double down on the inflated appeal of domestic brands. Its new campaign, dubbed Ford Motor Company: From America, For America, extends employee pricing to all customers from now through June 2.
Exact savings will vary by model, but employee pricing typically means buyers pay less than the dealer does to acquire the vehicle from the manufacturer. That amount is generally thousands of dollars below the MSRP, or the price shown on the window sticker. The savings tend to increase in step with the sticker price, meaning customers save more the more expensive the vehicle is.
Ford’s campaign offers employee pricing for everyone, but not on everything. While the incentive is available for a variety of model-year 2024-25 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, if you want a big truck or specialty vehicle, you’ll still need a Ford employee ID number to get the corporate savings. The Raptor versions of the Bronco, F-150 and Ranger; Mustang Dark Horse and GTD; Bronco Stroppe Edition; Expedition; F-Series Super Duty trucks; and Lincoln Navigator are all excluded from the promotion.
Power Promise Prolonged
Along with the employee pricing offer, Ford also announced that it is continuing its Power Promise promotion through June 30. Initially announced in October 2024 and already extended once, the Power Promise applies to the brand’s electric F-150 Lightning pickup truck and Mustang Mach-E SUV and gives electric-vehicle buyers a free home charging station and covers some — or, for many customers, all — of the installation costs. When Cars.com paid to install home charging stations at six editors’ homes in 2022, the price of the charger and installation ranged from $1,738 to $6,920.
For buyers who already own an EV or otherwise don’t need a home charging station, the Power Promise gets a little less sweet every time Ford extends it, though. When it was initially announced, buyers and lessees who passed on the charger received a $2,000 cash incentive; that dropped to $1,000 in January and is now just $500.
