How Much Is the 2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid?

Kia gave the hybrid version of its compact Sportage SUV a minor face-lift for the 2026 model year with new front and rear bumpers and revised exterior lighting. Inside, the changes are easier to spot, as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen are now standard. Two new trim levels, the S and X-Line, break up the previous progression with black exterior trim. The 2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid starts at $31,685 (all prices include $1,395 destination charge).

What Are the 2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid’s Trim Levels?

While it sits on 17-inch wheels and its seats are wrapped in cloth and manually adjustable in front, the entry-level LX establishes a solid foundation for the Sportage Hybrid lineup. In addition to its new digital dashboard, the LX boasts LED exterior lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, six speakers and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Kia also bolstered the Sportage Hybrid’s roster of standard safety technologies for 2026. For the base LX, the list now includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering, a driver-attention monitor, automatic high beams, and front and rear parking sensors.

The LX is only available with front-wheel drive; Sportage Hybrids from the S trim level on up feature standard all-wheel drive. The S also gets 18-inch wheels, dark exterior trim, a power-adjustable driver’s seat and heated front seats, as well as blind spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking.

Reverting back to silver-finish window trim and roof rails, the EX adds a power liftgate, synthetic leather upholstery and wireless phone charging. Back to black, the X-Line gains 19-inch wheels, as well as a panoramic moonroof and upgraded synthetic leather.

At the top of the Sportage Hybrid lineup, the SX-Prestige features unique LED headlights, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats and heated outboard rear seats. It also gets an infusion of tech, including navigation, a Harman Kardon audio system, and Digital Key 2.0, which allows owners to use their smartphone as a key and remotely monitor the vehicle. The SX-Prestige includes Highway Driving Assist 2, Hyundai’s hands-on semi-autonomous driving tech, as well as automated parking, a 360-degree camera system, blind spot cameras and blind spot intervention.

What Are the 2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid’s Powertrain Specs and MPG?

The Sportage Hybrid is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine teamed with a six-speed automatic transmission. A revised electric motor tucked into the transmission housing contributes to a 5-horsepower increase over the 2025 model, to a combined output of 232 hp and 271 pounds-feet of torque.

The entry-level LX trim is only available with FWD; every other Sportage Hybrid includes standard AWD. Kia says the LX returns an estimated 41/44/42 mpg city/highway/combined and that the AWD trim levels are rated at 35/36/35 mpg (official EPA ratings for the 2026 model are not yet available).
