Minnesotans like to get their cars warmed up on frigid North Star State winter mornings using their vehicle’s remote-start function, but not as much as Alaskans do. Nevada as a whole doesn’t hold a top ranking for automatic collision notification calls, but Las Vegas isn’t as lucky. And if you’re looking for a place to stop for a snack there’s a good chance it’s Starbucks you seek. A lot of conclusions can be drawn from how motorists use their navigation systems, as demonstrated by Hyundai’s report on how more than 400,000 subscribers used the automaker’s Blue Link communication system nearly 7 million times in the last two years.
For example, residents of Wyoming, Alaska, West Virginia, Kentucky and Montana are most concerned about the weather conditions in which they’ll be driving, as evidenced by their use of their multimedia system’s weather-info feature. Wyoming and Delaware drivers are the most frequent users of enhanced roadside assistance, while Michigan and Vermont motorists find themselves more in need of emergency assistance. And between the iPhone and Android, six out of 10 drivers downloading apps favor the partially eaten apple over that little robot.
