Toyota Unveils New Special Editions for 2024 GR Corolla, GR86, GR Supra
Toyota is nudging its performance image along in 2024 by hyping a trio of special editions. Blessed by the automaker’s in-house performance arm, Gazoo Racing, the limited-run specials are largely cosmetic, but that’s okay with us because the GR Corolla, GR86 and GR Supra are already boatloads of fun.

GR Corolla Circuit Edition
Initially, Toyota said that the GR Corolla Circuit Edition, which bridges the $14,000 or so gap between the 2023 model’s $36,995 Core trim and $51,420 Morizo (all prices include destination), was a one-year deal. Buyers will be happy to hear that there will again be a limited run of 1,600 Circuit Editions for the U.S. market, up 100 from 2023.
Like last year’s model, the Circuit Edition adds limited-slip front and rear differentials, a carbon-fiber roof and heated sport seats to the base model, while the Morizo chucks the backseat, tightens the transmission’s gear ratios, bumps up peak torque and wears stickier tires in the name of all-out performance. For 2024, Toyota says it has improved stability via chassis updates and tweaking the front aeroduct. The hot hatch also gets black 18-inch forged aluminum BBS wheels standard, and the available palette gains two new colors: Blue Flame and Ice Cap. Blue Flame GR Corollas wear unique black rocker graphics. Inside, the GR Corolla now features blue accents on the shift knob and interior stitching and comes with standard JBL premium audio.
GR86 Trueno Edition
The 2024 GR86 Trueno Edition will be limited to 860 units. Doubling — or, given the production run, maybe tripling — down on the homage to the vaunted AE86-generation Corolla of the 1980s, the Trueno takes its name from that classic’s branding in its home Japanese market.
The GR86 Trueno wears a black hood and side graphics, subtle visual flourishes from the AE86 Trueno. It also gets a black duckbill spoiler, black mirror caps and door handles, and metallic black 18-inch wheels. The Trueno Edition is available in either Halo (white) or Track bRed (we’ll let you guess on that one). Inside, drivers get a dash plaque reminding them of their car’s limited run, as well as a Trueno logo on their shift knob. Make sure you spec the sweet six-speed manual, as the Trueno will also be available with the six-speed automatic.
The Trueno also headlines a new performance package that is available across the full GR86 lineup. Included on the Trueno, it bundles Sachs dampers and Brembo brakes and will also be available as a retrofit for those who have a 2022-23 GR86 with 18-inch wheels.
GR Supra 45th Anniversary Edition
If orange Supras make you think of a certain star car from a cinematic juggernaut that shall not be named (but rhymes with Blast and Blurious), then the GR Supra 45th Anniversary Edition is for you. Just 900 will be produced for the U.S., evenly split between Mikan Blast (“mikan” is Japanese for “orange”) and Absolute Zero (white). Based on the 3.0 Premium trim, the 45th Anniversary Edition is powered by the 382-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine and available with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic. It gets matte-black 19-inch wheels with black brake calipers, black side graphics with the Supra script and a large adjustable spoiler.
Toyota isn’t talking price on its 2024 GR special editions yet, but the models will be available later this year.
