Poor sales experience
I had bought 2 cars from there in the past. Great sales experience and had them serviced there as well. I was always happy with the service department. Fast forward to May 2020 and am in the market again. I found the Jeep I wanted in the color I wanted at 3 dealerships. My preference was to buy from Steve White but they really didn't want my business. They told me their sales were too good right now to discount Jeeps but when I has stopped by there were no customers to be found. Another dealer in Cornelius had the exact same Jeep and priced it thousands less and gave me thousands ( yes thousands with an "s") more for my Jeep trade in. And their showroom was full of customers. I've since been driving the Jeep I wanted in the color I wanted and very happy with my new dealer. I'll never use Steve White for sales or service again. They lost a loyal customer.

CHARGED FOR WORK NOT NEEDED!!
Brought my tuck in with Engine light on and dash gages reading service DEF System. They changed my two fuel filters and said it was ready. Went to pick it up and the light was still on and the gages were still reading system service needed. Left truck again and got a call that it didn't need the fuel filters changed at all, What was actually wrong was that it needed a very expensive sensor and a totally different type of filter as to what they had already installed and charged me for. Not very professional or thorough diagnostics in my opinion I will not be returning if this is the way they conduct business. All I recieved from them was I am sorry and I apologies. This was a very expensive mistake on their part that cost ME money not them.

Fantastic buying experience.
It was time to get a new Jeep Wrangler. I had contacted a dealer 40 miles away who had what I wanted in stock. Sales manager didn't want to work over the phone even though there is a stay at home order in effect.. When they finally gave me a price they added $799 doc fees and $249 administration fees. Fast forward I called Steve White Jeep and spoke to a Neel a salesman that I had done business with before. They gave me a price over the phone for the new Jeep and my trade in. There price was over $1000 less due to all the fees at the other dealership Problem was I knew what I wanted and they didn't have it. They started looking for what I wanted to do a dealer trade. Dealers close by didn't want to do dealer trade.. The GSM Tim started hunting. Found what I wanted 230 miles away. I thought they were going to drive the Jeep back. No problem, warranty starts at delivery mileage. Neel and Tim kept me in the loop as to what was going on. Two day later they had my vehicle on their lot with 10 miles on it. They trailered the Jeep so as to not put miles on it. They told me to come in the next morning to do the paper work. Within one hour the paperwork was complete at the agreed out the door price. Brookes the Service Manager made the few simple modifications I wanted done in no time and I was driving my new Wrangler home. Can't say enough good about how easy Steve White and their staff worked together to make it happen.

Excellent and patient salesman
Rick Poteat was my salesman and he did an excellent job answering my questions concerning all the features of the jeeps I test drove. I didn’t go to the dealership with the intent of purchasing a Jeep that day but he worked so hard on price and on my trade ins that the next day my husband and I signed the papers and I left with a beautiful Jeep. It has been my dream to have a Jeep Wrangler and he worked all day to make it possible. The only negatives had nothing to do with Rick. The cubicles are such that you can not have a conversation with your dealer without hearing the dealer next to you talking to their customer. At one point the cubicle next to us was so loud we could not talk without speaking louder. I would recommend Rick Poteat as a salesman to anyone. But I did call back to discuss my loan after finding out I could get a lower interest rate and I spoke to a gentleman named “Bush” and he was not very pleased that I wanted to change lenders and made this known to me. But this doesn’t change my opinion of Rick or Steve White. One negative does not undo all the positive I experienced.

I had a hour drive to buy a specific car . I Told Jonathan I was about 30 minutes away stuck in traffic. He texts me thumbs up.When I arrived the salesman Jonathan was gone and I found out the car was sold 3 days ago. Needless to say I was not happy . If the I irresponsible person called me and said we sold it 3 days ago no worries. But that didn’t happen . Clearly a second rate company with absolutely no integrity.

Weak & Unresponsive Service Department
I purchased a new Jeep from this dealership at a fair market price. While the sales process was no pressure, there also was a lack of effort made to acquaint us with the vehicle's features, assist in the setup of infotainment and a walk thru that most dealers do after the purchase. This lack of "on boarding" and welcoming a new customer to the Jeep product line should have given me insight as to how their service department worked. Our new Jeep after less than a year in service currently sits on the Steve White lot awaiting replacement parts. The service department (client advisors?) are poorly trained and led in regards to customer service, providing answers and updates. There does not seem to be a expectation of quality customer service or any urgency to go the extra step to return a vehicle to the customer timely. Answers I get when calling in to check on status of my Jeep range from "I don't know bud" to "could be two days or two weeks" or "he's always late" when I ask for my service contact person at Steve White Motors. This Jeep is the first and last purchase from this dealership.

Strange
I went to take a look at the 2019 Charger. I like older cars and was driving my 95 Pontiac. I was wearing blue jeans and a t shirt. They behaved as though i was going to steal something. The salesman went in three times and didnt come back. They finally let me test drive it half a block. I sold cars for almost ten years. What a joke. Find yourself a real Dodge dealer. Wonder if Chrysler knows obout this.Guess you need to bring your suite case of money and show it to them.

Horrible Customer Service
The guy that is in parts that I talked to was a complete xxxxxxx and wouldn't give me any information on what I was looking for. His extract words was "We have been in business for a long time and performance is what we do." Now here's the really messed up part, I even for for DODGE!!! And he still wouldnt help me on out!!! I would never call them again nor buy anything from them. If that's how they treat fellow dodge employees, ill take my business to else where.
