Awesome service!

Purchased a modern steel metallic CR-V 2WD EX-L with the help of Sandeep. Very patient and helpful! Took the time to answer our questions and give us a thorough breakdown of what we were paying for. Awesome service!

Way Too Long

We bought a used Honda CRV from this dealer. We found the price reasonable and the salespeople non aggressive. But the process to get a loan was too long. In the middle of sending our loan requests out to the banks, the finance person had to leave at 1pm and there was no one to else to take over our file so we had to wait till the next day. It took them three days to come back with a reasonable offer from the banks. When the paperwork was finally done, the finance guy was once again absent from the office and our file locked in his desk and no one could help us till he came back. All in all it took us a week to get our car and we were on a rental which cost us time and money. They really need to improve their finance department. I would recommend this dealer to a friend but only if they are ready to pay cash.

Excellent customer service

Habib provided my husband and I with excellent customer service and worked very hard in lowering our monthly payments. We will definitely be back here for our next vehicle purchase.

California's Tower of Terror is in Costa Mesa!

Out-of-state buyer in predicament of needing a reliable tow vehicle to get home with family of young girls home safely. Arrived at Autonation Honda of Costa Mesa and it started well with a good car, fairly priced. Michael and Tommy the first-line sales people were excellent. We came back two days later ready to buy; unfortunately, it was a saturday in which they only had ONE "finance" person as they usually have at least three! We agreed upon a price at 1430 and waited 5.75 hours for the "finance" process, left lot at 2015. Then was told that this "should be expected after all you're buying a car". The first problem was short-staffing, secondly there was an issue about out-of-state DMV process and finally, the CA sales tax was another dissatisfier of our transaction. We were told the car would be "impounded" and we'd be "stranded on the side of a highway" if we were not driving directly home. There was mention of having to pay DMV fees after our price was agreed to and signed which all this was infuriating to me. Attempts to scare us to make us realize the stringent rules, which was mis-quoted, inappropriate and frankly terrorizing us with threats about how tough the CHP in CA are. The DMV trip permit from CA to OR should have been read to us which stated "heading to destination in shortest practical route," and "in a non-circuitous manner." After showing us the verbage and with our acknowledement of this disclaimer the rest would be our informed responsibility. Finally, out of my control was the CA sales tax that could have been waived with the DMV "Steamlined Waiver of Sales Tax" for buyers who live in non-sales tax states. The form is on DMV.gov website; however, the DMV leaves the final decision to the sellers - what a shame for CA, and this business, to chose the easy route and charge this tax rather than saving the customer money and improving satisfaction!. This would have cut $2300 from our sale with very little effort on their part! Customer service is paramount in business! Lack of knowledge of out-of-state sales, including applying sales tax when not required to do so, and DMV rules poorly communcated and mis-represented coupled with short-staffing and a finance manager with disrespectful communication skills made this a transaction difficult to forget and takes me back to the 1970 and 80s on how bad an experience it was to purchase a car. The culture at AutoNation Honda of Costa Mesa needs to change to be in favor of superior customer service, after all it is the customer who pays their wages for the above distasteful services! Certainly fell very short of their Mission Statement which was ironically shown to me by the one person who failed so badly - the financial manager Glenn who acted as Sheriff, CFO, and Lawyer all rolled in one. I think he was trying to send a message to his manager because he was so condescending and arogant as if he had the power to wreck the business being the only one to complete the transaction - he had the power to ruin that day alright! I recommed to stay clear of this dealer!

Great guy, safety first. He took care of all my concerns in a quick, friendly, thorough manner. First time here and I would love to come back. I live in San Diego but this center beats the one home. They even wash your car!

Great service!

Service was very professional and friendly! I don't know anything about Honda, so I asked a lot of questions, they were very patient with me in helping me to fully understand each and every new features that I am not familiar with. Overall, I have had a good shopping experience!

Exemplary service, seamless purchase process.

I purchased a new Honda Civic EX-L, after communicating online with Sandeep Singh, Internet Sales Manager. The offer made was most satisfactory to me. I traded in my 2013 Nissan Altima at a very good price, and financed the purchase smoothly. All the transactions made went seamlessly and most professionally. Sandeep showed me everything I need to know, and guided me through the Navigation System et al. I highly recommend this dealership and Mr. Singh. He is a consummate professional and made me feel comfortable, well-informed, and very happy with my new car.

What a Great Experience!!

What a pleasant experience buying a new Honda Accord. From the initial email contacts with Michael Crowe, to the actual purchasing process, everything was handled in an extremely, cordial, courteous and professional manner. Yes, I know it sounds like I'm a paid reviewer, but I assure you I am not. I simply want to say this place has changed my opinion of car salesmen. When everything goes the way it is supposed to, with none of the usual unpleasant surprises, it makes for a great transaction. Also, thanks to Glenn Handzlik and Rana Musal for their courtesy and professionalism. You could not find three nicer people do deal with. I don't claim to know a lot of folks looking for a new Honda, but I'll certainly recommend AutoNation Honda if I come across any. THANK YOU !!
