Service was horrible.
Service was horrible. Final price was $100+ more than initial quote due to some inexplicable additional "shop fee." Took 4 hours when David told us 2. David insulted us when we dropped it off and scolded us when we came to pick it up and asked where it was by telling us "you're not paying attention because its right outside the door" - only to discover when we went to find it that it was NOT where he said it was - it was in back behind a locked gate and he had to go get it. FWIW, I'm 61 and not a crank. This is the first bad review I've ever written. We've owned Hondas/Acuras for 35 years and we bought our car at Acura Carland. My wife loves it but we'll find a new service center.

This review is of the service department.
This review is of the service department. I have a choice of dealerships being equidistant between 2. I had to replace a windshield on a 2 month old RDX. My representative was lovely and they got a windshield immediately and provided a loaner--all good! When I picked up the car after being informed it was "ready", I got no more than 1/4 mile on the road when the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree--they had not properly recalibrated the windshield, and not test driven the car before calling me to pick up. To their credit they did immediately recalibrate, but it was an error for sure. In addition, they charged me a 3% credit card fee and not told me they would in advance. I could easily have brought a check, but since I didn't know and was 90 minutes from home, that cost me $41. They advised an oil change service while there--which it really didn't need yet. I have a lack of confidence in this dealership and will not return.

Loyal Customer No More Once again, I had a horrible
Loyal Customer No More Once again, I had a horrible experience with service manager HECTOR HERNANDEZ during my appointment yesterday. Long story short, after a battery replacement, I now have no audio in my vehicle. The techs tried to solve the problem (unsure about this because I was not in the shop with them) to no avail and I was just given back the vehicle with the statement, “WELL ALL WE DID WAS CHANGE THE BATTERY” said to me by the tech when we first looked at it outside AND HECTOR HERNANDEZ inside afterwards. There was no, “well we can run diagnostics, it may be this or that”, NOTHING, just, “here’s your key” from the tech while I did my best to hold back my frustration (which didn’t work by the way). After he cut off Akanu while speaking, HECTOR HERNANDEZ tried to repeat the statement and I let him know that I didn’t want to speak with him, since he’s previously insinuated that I was lying a couple years ago about them losing my engine cover before (which they found somewhere lying on the floor in the shop). After shrugging his shoulders, he smugly pranced into his glass office smiling as to say oh well your loss, only returning to the desk when I said I needed a refund. To which he replied, “YOU'RE WELCOME TO DISPUTE IT WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY” (which I’ll be doing tomorrow morning) and exited the building. I will also be contacting GM Jim Smith on Monday morning to speak with him about the horrible treatment I received from their incompetent techs and rude, arrogant, condescending, so called “service manager” HECTOR HERNANDEZ. I refuse to continue patronizing a dealership who hires and retains such subpar “managers” to be leaders at their establishment. I’ve been a loyal customer since first moving to GA in 2020, but I do believe it’s time to explore other options unless HECTOR HERNANDEZ is required to complete a course in how to treat customers with empathy instead of sass. This is just one of several incidents where technicians have left things out of place, undone or missing that I’ve overlooked for the most part due to my loyalty to my service advisor Akanu Ozuzu. If you know of another Acura dealer where you’re treated with respect as a customer, go there. Eventually, you’ll run into this type of treatment at Carland. *SIDENOTE - Akanu Ozuzu and David Howell are the ONLY reasons I’ve continued to patronize this dealership for my service needs. THEY know how to treat a customer. Class acts!!

The Definition of Stealership
This review is for the service department at Acura Carland only. The lights on our RDX went out and we needed to get it fixed right away. We took the car to Acura Carland as it's fairly close to my wife's work. That was a big mistake. First they charge $199 to just look at the car and call it "diagnostics," which can be used towards any services you need. That's even before they do any work. They charged us $571.70 to replace 4 light bulbs. We got charged $97.50 for labor, per light bulb. Yes, that's not a typo. Since we were already out $199, and she needed lights to drive home, we had the lights serviced. On top of that, they said the car also needed other services such a brake job, brake flush, transmission fluid exchange, replacing the spark plugs and fuel induction service. We declined the other services and took it to our trusted Acura dealership, who said most of the services were not needed. We did get the brake job and replace the spark plugs for 30% less than what was quoted at Acura Carland. If the blatant attempt to overcharge for unnecessary services is not enough, they charge a 3% service fee to use a credit card. Who does that?! They let you know via text after you give the go ahead to do the diagnostics. This has to be the worst service center at the dealership that we've ever dealt with. Although we were offered $150 for in store credit to be used in their service department after speaking with the manager, why would be go back after they told us we needed unnecessary services? If zero stars were an option, that's what I would rate Acura Carland. This dealership is a true definition of the phrase "stealership."

Incredibly shady and dishonest
My mother purchased a 2014 TLX with them about a year ago. She was told everything was fine and all maintenance had been done and anything that needed to be replaced already was. About a month ago the car had trouble starting. Come to find out there’s a widespread electrical issue with this model vehicle and they told my mother nothing. She’s been stranded multiple times and now I am. Called them to see what can be done and they just want us to tow it to them and every other person I’ve spoken to whose done this says they’ll say they found nothing wrong but replaced the battery or alternator just to get you to come back and then say you need a new starter. Wild how that happens across multiple dealers but with the same vehicle. Either way I feel like my mother was scammed into purchasing a lemon and now they don’t want to hold any accountability for that but want her to pay almost $2k in repairs when the starter should’ve been replaced to begin with. Or perhaps being honest with your customers from the beginning and advising them on making a purchase that won’t leave them stranded so you can bleed their pockets.

Excellent purchasing experience.
Purchased a Certified 2020 MDX recently. My experience with Anthony Fernandez was excellent. He was very helpful, not pushy at all. The entire staff was friendly making sure our needs were being met. Finance Manager, Bo Bryan explained the different service plans we could add to reduce the worry of out of pocket money for service and repair cost. Would definitely recommend this dealership for anyone looking to purchase an Acura.

Should keep it open on all Sundays
Not open on all Sundays. Very inconvenient for customers to come to your location and find out you are closed on a second Sunday of the month!
