Full of scammers and con artists

Read the other negative reviews they're spot on. Elias and co are scammers and con artists and you should run for the hills if you're thinking of doing any business with this place.

James, We would like to know about any specific issue so that we can try to help resolve it.

2006 Toyota Carmry

Bought a 2006 Toyota Camry V6 from Elias, New Years day 2020. Car was overall in good shape. Had some dings that did not appear in the pictures. I had them pulled from a paint less dent remover for about $200. It needed 2 new tires in the rear, $50 each An Oxygen sensor failed. I had it fixed myself for $150. I couldn't make it back to him to fix it for free. Missing a few trim odds and ends that I got from online. He did put in a new battery and did the rear brakes prior to finalizing the sale. Used cars are rarely perfect. Luckily I have a lot of experience with cars so I have a higher tolerance . Overall I was happy with the experience. I'd buy from them again

Jon, Thank you! Wish you had been able to return so we could have taken care of it for you.

Buyer beware

This business is using credit cards fraudulently and owner Elias is the most rude disrespectful business man who talks down to woman. Too many great automotive dealerships - do not waste your time or money here and certainly do not give credit card for any holds over the phone - they say they won't process but the do. No integrity!!!!!!

Karen, We are not sure what the specific issue was but we do take credit card deposits as a customer courtesy to hold a vehicle for up to 48 hours, which btw is fully refundable for any reason.

They talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk

For a supposedly "great" business (according to their suspiciously glowing positive reviews) they sure do spend a lot of time apologizing to the people who leave negative reviews. Talk is cheap. At Wayland Automotive they certainly talk the talk, but do they walk the walk? The answer the negative reviews give to this important question is a resounding "No!" I nearly made the mistake of buying a car from them, but my spidey sense started to tingle when in answer to my questions and concerns I got excuses and double-talk. Avoid them altogether -- service, car sales, gas -- everything. Listen to your spidey sense. The large blue and white police badge decal that hangs on their front window strikes me as a kind of talisman to ward off the police. But if my sense is correct, why should people who run an honest business be afraid of the police? The decal is an insult to the police when you think about it because it suggests that the police are fools to be dissuaded from doing their job by sycophantic displays and flattery. You're a busy man, Rich, so let me help you with your boilerplate B.S. response to yet another negative review: "Oh, Francis, my friend, we are truly sorry you have this impression of us. Rest assured we pride ourselves on outstanding and honest service. It sounds like there was a miscommunication on our end, although we hope you'll rest assured all of the vehicles we sell have been inspected thoroughly. If there's anything we can do for you, please don't hesitate to reach out, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." When a dealership, or any business, repeatedly finds itself in situations where it has to say out loud that they are "honest," and that they are "sincerely sorry for any miscommunication on our end," the public is justified in wondering whether the so-called "miscommunications" are actually deliberate, and maybe even strategic, and whether it makes any sense at all to believe that such a business is "honest."

Francis, If there was a specific issue we can work with on, we would be happy to do that. Otherwise, this unfair diatribe just seems like unproductive venting.

2006 Saab 9-5

No Saab is without it's quirks, and the same can be said for Saab buyers. I dealt with Richard and he was very patient, amiable, and straight forward. The few items the vehicle did need he made sure were completed in a manner that fit my schedule. Has knowledgeable Saab technician on staff to complete repairs in a professional manner.

A friendly place

Rich was a nice guy and was very laid back. We are in the process of buying and he did not pressure us in any way.

Could not have been easier

When it was time for me to replace my beloved high mileage Volvo I was very cautious and not just a little bit nervous thinking about purchasing a preowned vehicle. I worked with Elias who was around on evenings and weekends when I could more easily look for a car. He was terrific! Elias clearly knows this business, very patient and kind as he walked me through the process. As a single white haired woman finding an honest trustworthy car dealer can be a daunting experience. I made the right choice and worked with the right dealer. Now as I drive my low mileage cherry red Mercedes with the sun roof open and my music blasting I can thank Elias for making this happen for me. Call him!

Patient/Easy Going

Went in to check out a Scion TC ad I saw on Cars and didn't leave with the car but really enjoyed my overall experience. Rich was informative and patient. Forgot my lisences so I had to go home and grab it and in the meanwhile he washed the car. Answered all my question, let me look at other cars in the lot and got back to me in a timely fashion. Friendly and cool. Didn't feel pushed or rushed into purchasing the car.

Trustworthy and committed to customer service

We just bought a used Saab from Rich at Wayland Auto. His price was fair, the car was in decent shape and the buying process was easy. Our car's "check engine" light was on during the test drive and we stipulated that this be addressed, that Wayland Auto would do the paperwork and allow us to take ownership of a registered and inspected vehicle, with title work performed. A minor complaint was that at the time of pickup there was no registration or inspection sticker, and that the "check engine" light was still on. As a mitigating factor, a moderate snowstorm the day before may well have prevented the title runner to make the twenty-mile round trip to the motor vehicle registry. We agreed to take the car on the understanding that all outstanding conditions would be fixed. Walland Auto delivered on each promise. Our registration was ready a few days later, and the engine light was diagnosed as a bad ignition coil which was provided and installed by Wayland Auto a few days later. One more trip a few days and 100 miles later (to allow the computerized diagnostics to "accept" the new part and we had the inspection sticker. As stated, it was a minor inconvenience to have to take multiple trips out to Wayland. However, both Rich and his Saab mechanics in the garage were both fun to hang out with and genuinely concerned with my satisfaction. Would I go back for service or to buy another car? Emphatically YES.
