Do not trust this dealership

Please do not trust this dealership! They use utilize underhanded tactics and leave the customer without money or recourse. Specifically, the finance manager assured me that I would be promptly reimbursed for a 400 dollar transaction cost. When I politely asked why this had not happened within the agreed upon time frame, the finance manager raised his voice, exclaimed that he no way of knowing, and then terminated the phone call. I am not sure what set him off. In addition to being completely in the dark regarding the return of my money, I cannot get a clear answer regarding what has happened.

Quick and easy deal, great people.

The experience reflected what I consider to be the ideal purchasing experience: See detailed listing online, call with an offer, get an itemized quote by email, come in to sign papers, leave with a car. The quote took about 45 minutes to receive, and I was in an out of the dealership in less than 90 minutes. No upsells, no pressure. All communication was quick and professional. Milwaukee is a long way from home, but it was worth it.

I WANT MY CAR FIXED!!!!!

I am very upset with the service I have received. I dropped my car off almost 1 month ago the person that helped me in the service dept told me that it would cost $130.00 to reprogram the control module he said I would have to wait 1.5 hours until my vehicle would be ready. The employee then let us know after being there 1.5 hours that he would need more time with my car because the module was not programming. Then one week and half past and I hadn't heard anything, I then called and the same employee advised me he had written the wrong number, then 4-5 days later I get a call from him letting me know the control module I had was not responding so he would have to purchase one from a "JUNK YARD" ! He then let me know he would try the process over but the price would go up over $400.00, then 1.5 weeks goes by and he calls to let me know there "junk yard" control did read but it also showed there was another problem. I was told that if I wanted to pick up my vehicle I could , but it would still have the same issue it had when I initially brought in the car, but.... I would still have to pay $435.00!!! ( and I'm thinking to myself they want $435.00 for doing nothing to my car) So, I advised him what sense would it make to pay $435.00 and my car.is in the same condition (hence I am giving away $435.00 for what!!!!) I told the tech that wouldn't make sense so he said ok, he will fix it for a little over $800.00 dollars!! I feel like I am being played like a dumb fool, which in no way shape or form am i Dumb! The best part of it all we are.working on another week and still no car, no updates, no phone call nothing I am beyond upset! I verified with him if i pay the $800 something will my car.be fixed he said yes just like he said yes before we got to $800 something dollars . He advised he would call me in a few days.and here que are again "NO PHONE CALL" I AM SO UPSET !!! at this point my experience has been awful!!

Great used car buying experience

I drove 300 miles to this dealer since they had a low mileage car I was looking for. Mike had the car washed and ready for me when I arrived. No pressure test drive and was able to negotiate a better price as there was some light scratches in the roof that I wanted to get fixed. The paperwork went quick and they explained but didn't push extended warranty options. Best dealer experience I've had in my 30 years of driving/buying.

Perfect Experience

I negotiated a deal with them through email and got an amazing price for a certified pre owned Volkswagen CC. I had to drive two hours to the dealership but right as I got there the car was washed and taken care of. I would like to thank Jeremy for the experience. It was sort of a like a family relationship, he answered all my questions and there was no hassle. I would recommend this dealership since their service is incredible and the people that work there, really are there to help you get the perfect car. Also the little presents were a cool addition to the experience.

Nice Guys

Although I did not end up purchasing a vehicle I thought the guys did a great job here. I felt comfortable and welcomed, no rushing or pushing.

Pick a different location!

Please look at another location if you plan on purchasing a car. Their attitudes are not something you want to deal with after you $17,000 with them. I get nothing but harsh prices for any issues with the car and they take no responsibility for anything after you sign, even if its a written contingency. I will not revisit this dealer location for any new car I plan to purchase in the future, not because my used car was a flop, but because they really tried to toss me and any issues with the car to the side. Even after only a month they showed no empathy that the car they sold was not in good shape to sell and I struggled to get anywhere with them. As soon as they got the insurance money I turned from important to a bother. (Details Below) I came into this VW to purchase a used car. My old car was totaled and I had insurance money. They really went out of their way to accommodate me while I waited for my soon to be car to have its' sun roof replaced. They kept in contact with me for the 10 days it took for repairs. After my car was finished I came in to sign paperwork. On the second day of ownership I noticed that there was a large rust bubble, the size of a 2 baseballs, that came through the paint during the rains. I asked if they could help with a pricing to fix it since It was evident that it was concealed, not mentioned, and not visible until the rains left rust streaks down the car. ( After only 2 day ) They simply said no and quoted $1200 to repair the whole door. I asked if I could return the car since I spent a lot of money and did not have additional cash for repairs. They said no sales were final. A month later the car broke down costing an additional $1500 that VW was not willing to negotiate price with. I had to argue with them about a missing headrest that was written down as a contingency upon purchase. They tried to tell me that they were only going to see if the previous owner, who happened to work there, still had the head rest. Even though I clearly stated verbally a headrest replacement, not dependent on previous owners having it, and wrote it down in the contract. I am now currently having issues with a leaky sunroof that they will not look at without an inspection fee since its a over its warranty of 1 year and the cost to repair the sunroof would be calculated anywhere from $500-$2000. ( I've had the car for a year and a half, figures ).

Best Service Around!

The whole team at Boucher VW in Franklin is absolutely wonderful! I went into looking for a car very hesitant and anxious because my last car buying experience was so dreadful. Not only was my salesman, Tony, incredibly knowledgeable, realistic, and down to earth but he made the whole experience fun and pain free. Also a huge thank you to Brian who was able to get me an incredible interest rate and lower monthly payments than I had. The whole experience was exceptional.

Service department issues

I have been to multiple Volkswagen dealerships from the east side of Iowa to Wisconsin and Chicago, the best being McGrath Vw in Dubuque but the worst is by far the Vw in franklin. I have brought my car in twice and left with more issues then I originally went there with, like it would happen as soon as I pulled out of the stealership. Seems weird not saying it's there fault it happened but it happened twice now so I sort of am putting some blame on them. They recommend you buy parts you don't need and there service is wayyy overpriced for what you get. They don't give you deals unless you ask either so be sure to look online, it has happened to me three times now. The only reason I gave them once star(was the lowest I could go) was because they have a very nice waiting area, I would know I've been here multiple times this weekend already. I know not all Of it is directly the employees who work here's fault but if Vw wants to keep lifetime customers they need to use this dealership as and example of how not to be run.

Misinformation - rushed deal

I am very disappointed in myself and in the lack of respect this dealership has for its customers. While I will admit to not being as cautious and prepared as I should have been - I believe there should be some courtesy and decency on the part of the dealership to be more informative. I came into the dealership with a date I believed to be the end of my lease. I was informed halfway through the process that the date I had was the date of my last payment not of the end of my lease. I immediately said I would come back when the time came. Of course the manager, sales person, finance guy, and more sales people talked me into staying -paid my last payment - and even when I expressed concern that I was worried there would be any surprise maintenance turn in costs. They dismissed all of my concerns and rushed me through the new lease. A month later I get sacked with a totally crappy $800 damage fine from Volkswagen. Turns out I have the option of being present for the body damage check before turning my lease in. After receiving this bill I called the manager he was able to see the pictures and agreed that mostly likely at least one of the major costs could have been taken care of for much less money before Volkswagen got their greedy hands on it again. The manager said he would call back and never did. I am aware that ultimately this is all my fault for being unprepared, but as I said before, to push me into a sale and to not be completely open and forthright about the expectations and responsibilities of a lease ending is really upsetting. I will not be doing business with this group again.
