Great Service

I was very pleased with the service I received from Bob Tyler. Sawyer helped me over the course of a couple months locate the truck I was looking for. I would recommend this dealership.

worst service ever. It has been the hardest thing to it get it serviced or the factory recall fixed. They will not work with you. had to wait 2 months for part to fix recall told it would take 2 days for fix. I went to the dealership explained to them i work out of town and need a car for the time they had mine and i could only drop off mine late. Was assured this was not a problem car would be available When I received my reminder there was no mention of my rental. 3 days and 3 phone calls later i finally heard back only to be told a different story about my courtesy car I suggest you take the ride to Eastern Shore Toyota and get better service

I love my new RAV4. Stacey answered all questions I asked…was very knowledgeable of all vehicles & most of all made me feel at home. Wonderful experience….he’s my favorite salesman!!!!

We purchased a used car from Bob Tyler Toyota, and in less than 3 months the check engine light kicked on and the push to start button was stuck in the push down position, so we brought it back to Bob Tyler Toyota where we expected them to fix the vehicle, but what they did was far from fixing any issues. To begin, they claimed to have “fixed” the push to start button, but what they did was damage the vehicle by gouging around the button with some metal object and, prying the button free. Now I have scratched and gouged plastic and metal around the button where they did this. They then told us to take the car to another shop for the check engine light, since they aren’t equipped to work on it, so we brought it to where they directed us to go. That shop quoted us $1300 for sensors to be replaced, so we did the repairs and advised Bob Tyler Toyota’s General Manager. In less than a week, the check engine light kicked on again and we brought it back to Bob Tyler and they directed us back to the same shop where they quoted us $2700 to repair an oil pump, so we had it repaired. In less than a day the check engine light came back on and I’m still having to deal with this issue. This car has been in the shop for over a month, and we’ve had to get a rental to get around. DO NOT buy a car from these guys, because they will take your money and run.

Update 9/13/21 Several days ago, Bob Tyler Toyota did reach out to us and wanted to look at the vehicle to troubleshoot the issue. We dropped off the vehicle and several days later, we received a call saying that the car was going into "limp mode" and they will have to look at it further. Unfortunately we had a death in the family due to COVID and my spouse had to use my car to drive out of town since the car Bob Tyler Toyota isn't up to the job. A day later I received a call from the Director of Operations explaining to us that we need to replace the battery before they could proceed due to the fact that new codes are popping up. This was new and we did not have any issues with the battery or any electric issues when we dropped it off. I immediately told them I will pick up the car to take it else where. Fast forward to today, we picked up the car. As soon as we drove it on Hwy 29 it went into limp mode and wouldn't shift out of first gear. The car never did this before. We pulled over to call a tow truck, but when we turned the car off and back on, the engine light was off and it shifted normal. Again, stay clear from these guys. They will sell you a broken car that they can not fix.

We bought a vehicle Saturday and Chandler Mull was our salesman. He did a great job explaining things to us, but he was not pushy at all. Very friendly and understanding. It was an easy transaction and we were pleased.

Absolutely awful service all around. I bought a used truck in Jan 2021 from them and that experience was fine. I brought the truck in for a clunking noise I was having when stopping, which they couldn't diagnose and told me to keep driving it till it got worse (really safe right?!). After barely driving it for a month because I didn't feel safe, I was washing the truck and noticed my passenger side leaf spring was twisted. Brought it back and told them what was wrong and they then confirmed that was my issue. After waiting a week for them to repair my leaf spring (parts didn't arrive...short staffed so couldn't get to it, etc) I pick up my truck leave the dealer and my entire dash lights up. I turn around and come back, after making me wait for an hour and half I am told that the wheel bearing assembly is bad on the drivers side. Big coincidence! They then tell me I have to pay for that repair if I want it done. I asked to speak to the manager and he didn't even offer an apologize. Just told me there is nothing they can do. While waiting for my truck I watched 4-5 different customers pick up their "serviced" vehicle only to turn around in the parking lot because something wasn't done or a light was never reset. Their service dept is by far the worst I've ever been to. I understand being short staffed but your staff are not knowledgeable, helpful, or even the least bit apologetic. I'll never buy another vehicle or get any service done at Bob Tyler Toyota. If I could give 0 stars I would!
