Great Service

Excellent service and immediate assistance from sales rep with purchase of Preowned Volvo Amazed with the professional care and work displayed with the detailing of our purchase while we did the paperwork... Lobby became full with other customers while we waited for detailed work on car Truly pleased with overall experience of sales rep.,staff, and service provided Will be returning in the near future for a purchase of Preowned SUV from this dealership as well Thanks Nuri for your professional, honesty, and humor :) which were the deciding factors that will have us returning to Gettel later this summer or early fall for another purchase or two from you...

They could care less about me.

I arrived on a Saturday afternoon to view any pre-owned Toyota Prius in my price range. After walking by the 4 they had right up front, and twiddling my thumbs, no one from the dealership approached me. No big deal. I walk inside. Again, no one approached me. Finally, a woman (not sure if she was a salesperson or something else) asked if she could help me. I said, I was interested in looking at a Used Prius. Her response was, well, which one? I reply with, I don't know, can you help me? She points to where the 4 are and said, there they are, help yourself. So my immediate reaction is, well, I'm not sure how much they are, what they are, etc. She asks me basic questions about price range. Fine. She ends up showing me a car that someone had just returned back to the dealership because "they changed their mind." I wait for 10 minutes in the car for her to "find the key inside." I see her come out, talk to other customers, run to park another car, and then finally join me in the car. She had no consideration for my time, and like I said in the title, could care less that I was there or even interested in purchasing. I learn that the car I'm sitting in is a 2010, which I had just driven at another dealership. I don't need to test drive another of the same car, so after I politely oblige a little turn around the parking lot, I ask if I can see another newer model. "Sure! Let me run inside." So, I wait outside in the unusually cold Florida weather for about another 10 minutes before I finally go back inside to locate her. There she is. But, she can't find the key and doesn't know anything about which model would be right for my price range (even after I already explained to her what I was looking for). So, another 10 minutes goes by when she tries to locate the key, after going to find the vehicle number in the system, etc. I finally just say, you know what, you all seem too busy to provide me with any sort of consideration, so don't worry about the key... I'll just leave. She quickly said, "alright," and had no ounce of sympathy for the time she had wasted of mine. I understand being busy, but I was pretty upset after I left and felt I needed to share my experience.

I shopped on the internet for deals on the year end close outs on 2015 Prius Models. Other dealers tried to get me to come to their stores with out providing the info I wanted. I called an old GM of a Toyota store and he recommended Robbie Robbins GSM at Gettel Toyota. Mr Robbins gave me the info and price I needed. I drove a 300 mile round trip and the deal was everything they promised. Even though they were not making money on the deal they treated my wife and I like they made thousands. In fact my wife was so impressed we decided to buy two. I now have already told two close friends who plan on buying 2016 Prius from Gettel . Chad the internet Mgr. took over for Mr. Robbins and showed me all the controls on the car and then introduced me to the service Mgr and set up my first appt. My wife and I dislike these giant Corporate Dealers that are destroying the family owned stores like Gettel hope they keep these stores in the family and continue to run for decades to come!

New Car Purchased

I have been a Toyota owner since my first Toyota 1968, my recent Toyota was a 2002 Solaris and this car was a jewel, barely any problems, but the time came. I was without transportation, and was so lucky to have Yaremi, she literally walk me thru everything, without having to go to the dealer and apply for financial loan, she was able to get everything approved before getting there. I pulled in to Toyota dealer on rainy day, she stood out in the rain, showed me a cars that I was intrested in, I told her exactly what I wanted and she was able to find the car I wanted the color I wanted, even though it was going to be higher in price for the color she was able to get the car at the lesser price, I?m very happy with my car, but the best part of it was the great service, I did not walk out of there feeling like someone had taken advantage of me. Yaremi provided me with excellent services as well as the rest of the staff. Thank You Toyota Gettel Bradenton.

Gimmicks, Scams and More Gimmicks!

After seeing their advertised price of $25,991 for a car I was serious about buying, I called and offered them $25,000 even and told them I'd give them a deposit of $2,000 the same day to hold the certified car without even seeing it. The salesperson said she'd run it by her manager and call me back, but she was sure that they wouldn't want to lose a sale over $900. They called back to say they were unsure about the offer, so I told them to give me their bottom line (aka lowest offer they'd accept). Are you ready for this? They came back at $31,900 because I didn't want to trade my (paid off) car in and I wasn't going to use their financing. I was looking at a one year old USED car with 20,000 miles on it and I could buy the exact same car BRAND NEW for the price of the used car that they offered me. I was trying to get a deal done long distance and get the car shipped to me, but after reading the reviews I'm glad I didn't buy a plane ticket and fly out there to get the car. After a few more run-arounds, I cut off communication and I will buy a car elsewhere. Bottom line: This dealership tries to make money by SCREWING people over by giving them horrible financing terms and screwing you on the price of your trade-in. If you aren't willing to accept these terms, then don't bother. This dealership is especially a joke if you have great credit like I do, cash downpayment in hand, and are serious about making a purchase. Steer clear!!

Worst car buying experience in 30 years.

The first day I went there I was offered $15k for my trade on a new 2015 Tacoma. I thanked them for their time and told them I couldn't accept that offer. I received a phone call probably every other day for two weeks which I ignored knowing I couldn't afford their offer. After about two weeks I received another call and message saying they had made a mistake on my trade. They could give me $18,500. I called back and told them if that's the case I will take it. After about an hour of waiting for the approval process we were informed that the New truck we wanted had just been sold. They looked on line and found a couple others they could bring in for us. None of them as nice as the original. So we asked if we could think about it for a an hour or so. We looked on line and found a nice 2015 Used Tacoma....low mileage...very nice. We called and left a message saying we would be interested in it if we could get the same deal. They said it was no problem. I said I wanted my payment to stay the same....the used truck had a few more bells and whistles than the new one....but nothing crazy....they called back and said come in....they would have most of the paperwork done for us. So we went back to the dealership. And waited....and waited...for a couple of hours. Finally the loan was done....the dealership had closed but they stuck around to take care of us. The only thing left was to sign the paperwork and they would "make it as quick as possible". At that point we just wanted to get out of there. My wife was ready to walk out and drive our old car home....but the paperwork was ready.... So we went back to sign it....and watched as yard after yard of paperwork printed off the machine that may have been purchased used from NASA in 1969. So another hour later we were driving home...happy with our new used tacoma. I loved the truck. And still love the truck. But after about a week we were filing our papers....and just scan through it...to find that we did indeed have about the same payment. But instead of the $18,500 we had been offered on the other deal. We received $14,500 for our trade. Maybe it's me....but that seems a little deceptive. Then as we got to the end of the paperwork we discovered we had purchased an $1,100 warranty that was a total surprise to us...yet our payment remained the same.... And our payment remains the same....mostly due to the 7 Year loan we were given....which of course...was another surprise. I sure hope Mr. Gettel enjoys his Maserati...jaguar...and all the other incredibly expensive cars and lovely homes the finance manager told us he owns....at least my payment is the same.

Unpleasant Manager

Recently went there to view a used car and the sales guy was great, but the manager was not someone I would ever recommend buying a car from. He didn't introduce himself or shake your hand. He hid around the corner listening while we were trying to negotiate a price with the salesman and then popped around the corner unexpectedly. He wouldn't look you in the eye or budge on his unreasonable price. He wanted too much over the KBB value of the car we were looking at. It also appeared as though he was taking our offer for the car personally. I wouldn't recommend this dealership just because of the rude management.

Felt patronized and insulted

After confirming with a salesperson that the car I was interested in was available, I drove over 75 miles to the dealership immediately - found out the car had already been sold. Another salesperson proceeded to try and sell me a variety of overpriced cars - none of them even close to the original car I was interested in. When I asked about specific details, such percentage rate for financing, I was told "not to worry about that." Thanks for wasting my valuable time.

Fantastic Experience!

I recently purchased a 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid. My salesman, Ryan Overstreet was both professional and personable. Ryan made my car buying experience pleasurable. He was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and shared his expertise. I have shared my experience with friends, family and co-workers. I love my new camry. Thank you Ryan!
