Don't buy a used car!
DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM MCCONNELL! The sales manager sold me a 2500HD Truck. When purchasing it he told me it was one of his friends trucks and he finally got him to sell it since it was just sitting in his garage. Gene seemed super nice great personality and I was like awesome he is selling me a 60k truck that is great. OH WAS I WRONG! Less than 30 days after purchasing the check engine light came on. Take it to a GM dealership they said the lights had been on but turned off and the entire DEF system needed to be fixed. I called Gene and he told me he would look into it. 4 hours after my fiancé calls and he says oh I forgot let me go do it again before I forget. When asking to speak to a manager we are told by him oh we don't have one....... I'm a General Manager of multiple Million Dollar companies and I'm far from dumb. Everyone refused to talk to me or return my calls till I finally got an awesome receptionist who apologized and found someone to "help". Service manager said his Diesel Tech had over 70hr of work on the ground so he passed me to JCs team and told me their tech is in school but JC would reach out. He did on Thursday and had me bring it in on a Sat so they could diagnose it. I have been EXTREMELY clear I believe this vehicle had stuff wrong with it and the sales manager helped his buddy get a good trade in deal on my behalf. I have contacted corporate and opened a case number. I work in the transportation field with ONLY Diesel trucks. I know without DEF my truck will decrease speed (already has) and eventually stop and the short and long term damage is going to be astronomical. Save yourself and buy from ANYWHERE ELSE! They said they will call Monday to let Me know if it's covered under warranty. It's thousands of dollars so I guess Gene's friend got the best deal he could have. I have asked to speak to upper managers and shocker still hasn't happened. I took my truck in today $2000 or more or labor not including three part and 1 to 2 days in service needed. I told the guy who met me today the light wad ON and turned OFF before I purchased it and the only thing I signed for that was disclosed was it wasn't washed. He stated well the old owner could have known and turned it off before we bought it. Well looks to me like you guys didn't fo the required inspection correctly or you would have known and you can plug in and find all the data. Car Service Satisfied
Took our car in for routine maintenance and it was taken care of. The fellow in charge was very friendly, kind, and most of all informative and explained everything we needed to know without us having to ask. He asked us before doing anything outside of what we originally wanted done. Good job!

The dealership is not treating the customer right. I'm about done buying my vehicles from there after 25 years and 12 vehicles. Jackie Hunter retired and I was always treated well by her.

We live in Lucedale, Ms went in this time last year to purchase a truck. We found just the truck we were looking for! SOOOO EXCITED!!!! Had a great salesman Sachin Patel, he was really nice. We were very pleased when we left that night. Only two days later started having issues with the truck, ones that should"ve been taken care of before the truck was actually sold to anyone. The DEF fluid light came on driving it to work the next day which was so low my truck went into limp mode which caused the whole thing to mess up so we had to take it back to have it completely replaced. The oil was low and the filter hadn't been changed, air filter was never changed, then the whole radio in the truck kept blacking out, jumping back and forth from screen to screen. We purchased an extended warranty that covered everything, and had xxxx with that because the financial guy failed to write the policy up right so we got a run around for at least 6 months before we got our radio fixed. The receptionist they have there is someone different almost every time you call, they do not know how to take a message much less delivery one to get a call back from anyone. I would call dozen of times week after week and hardly ever get a phone call returned. They would either not be in the office, they are with someone at the moment, and my favorite is "oh he just stepped out" I wanted to say do y'all ever work at all and actually stay in the office and deal with customers? Here recently I've been trying to call the financial guy once again to get information on our extended warranty to see how much we paid and get the amount we have remaining on it, but yet and still I've made about 20 calls last week and called again this morning with the same run around i always get!!!!!!!! This is such bad business, I WOULD NEVER recommend this dealership to ANYONE!!!!!!! WE would drive a thousand miles to any dealership to avoid this one!!!!! I give this dealership zero stars!!!!!
