I want to share my experience with the service practices

I want to share my experience with the service practices at Nyle Maxwell Dodge in Taylor Tx. On 4/10 I had an appointment for my 2014 Ram to get some factory recalls and wanted them to look at a check engine light. The first diagnostic was $300. I was called to say they needed to do a deeper diagnostic. I agreed to go to $500. After the deep diagnostic I was told the repairs would cost over $6k. I told them I would have to wait on repairs. I wanted to pick up my truck. After I get there to get my truck, I am told the price is now $900 for diagnostic. I didn’t agree to that cost but I had to pay. I walk out to get my truck to find it was not completely put back together (I have pictures) and the battery was now dead. After a jump box was used, the truck would still just spin and not start. I drove back home leaving the truck. On 4/24, I hear from service that they pushed my truck into the lot as it would not start. I was baffled how I was supposed to pick up my truck. On 4/26 I received a call telling me the battery has been charged and it was ready for pickup. I drive back out to find the truck will start but not run. It dies. I ask the service manager to put my truck back together so I can drive it off the lot, after all, I drove on the lot. A service writer called to say there was nothing they could do as I refused service. I pointed out that I drove it there and it was reasonable to assume I would receive it back in the same condition. He stated again that I refused service and they could not help. I filed a complaint with the BBB. The general manager called me. He tells me he will pay for 3 hours of shop time to get my truck running. If at the end of three hours, he will pay to have it towed back to my house. Can you believe that? I drove the truck in, it ran rough but it ran. Now we are talking about having it towed. He told the BBB that we had agreed to the above repair plan. I had 6 days to respond. I waited a week to hear from the dealership, but nothing. So I told the BBB I did not accept their response. A month has gone by, so I write to Dodge Ram headquarters in Auburn Hills Mi. I explain the chain of events and ask if they could do anything to help. I get a call shortly afterward from the service manager at Nyle Maxwell Dodge telling me they wanted to tow my truck to me. Keep in mind, I drove the truck to them, paid $900 for diagnostics, and now it does not run. I asked the service manager to take responsibility for whatever they did to my truck. He would not respond. I can not afford to repair whatever they did to my truck and refuse to pay them over $6000 to get it running. So, I have a non-running truck in my driveway that I can neither repair or sell. All thanks to Nyle Maxwell Dodge in Taylor Tx. My suggestion to everyone is to avoid doing any business with them based on the way they have treated me and my vehicle.

Poor service ~ won't be going back Unfortunately I

Poor service ~ won't be going back Unfortunately I experienced a problem at this place. I dropped my jeep off for a seat issue and was given a call that my main battery was dead after being in the shop for 8 days. I gave approval for it to be replaced only find out 3 days later that it still wasn't replaced. The other part that I needed had never been ordered based on questions that I was asking. They wanted to keep it longer until the part that they never ordered would come in. That just makes No sense at all!! I finally went to pick up my jeep and it didn’t start. So long story short, I had them switch out the main battery while I waited in the lobby. The seat part is hopefully on order. I hope they get better service soon, but in the future I won't be leaving it there anymore. I understand that they have a totally new crew with poor work ethic and poor communication with clients. For now find a shop that actually cares about customer service!! Such a disappointment I had been going there for the past 15 years.

Great dealership that I can highly recommend.

Great dealership that I can highly recommend. Professional and friendly staff provided me with the information to make sound decision on which truck to purchase. They gave me a fair price for my trade in as well.

My service advisor, Michael, was very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. They are a very busy shop, so I had to leave my vehicle there for a few days. Michael kept in contact with me and my vehicle was fixed in the time frame I was told. I will be going to Nyle Maxwell in the future.

We are so disappointed in this dealership!

We are so disappointed in this dealership! On two different oil changes, they overfilled causing problems. Their response “Oh, so sorry!” Today we had an appointment for service and we’re told the person who made the appointment was no longer with them, so we didn’t have an appointment! Totally unacceptable!! We will no longer darken their doorway! This dealership had 3 chances and they blew them all.
