Thank you very much to Tyle for helping us choose the most suitable car for my uncle at the most suitable price. The electric Mustang is very easy to drive. If I need it in the future, I will definitely go to Ford of Upland and find my lucky salesman Tyler first.

I'm writing this review as the parent and co-signer of my 19-year-old son, who recently attempted to purchase his first vehicle from Ford of Upland. What should have been a proud milestone quickly turned into a frustrating and eye-opening experience. My son initially spoke with Kevin Paz and simply asked for the dealership’s best out-the-door (OTD) price on a 2025 Ford Maverick — a truck that’s been sitting on their lot for over 240 days. Instead of providing the requested price, Kevin pressured my son to give his best offer first. When my son repeated that he just wanted their best number — reminding him that the buyer doesn’t need to make the first offer — Kevin abruptly said “OK then” and hung up on him. A few minutes later, Victor De La Rosa, another sales consultant, called back. Once again, my son requested an itemized OTD price. Eventually, a so-called “itemized” price sheet was sent — padded with excessive and unjustified dealer add-ons which was a classic example of a bloated and padded offer sheet. Filled with add-ons like: 3M Shield Package – $695 Nitrogen-Filled Tires – $595 (for air you can get at any gas station!) Theft Coding – $595 Premium LoJack – $995 Factory Security Upgrade – $495 Windshield Protection – $395 Other Non-Tax Fees – $604.75 Most of these fees were never disclosed upfront and appeared clearly designed to inflate what was advertised as a highly discounted internet price — which, after these additions, was no deal at all. He was informed that these dealer add-ons could not be removed, discounted, or credited. Despite all this, my son still attempted to work with them. Eventually providing a price he was willing to pay. Victor replied that they were too far apart and told him to choose another vehicle from their stock. My son made it clear he was not interested in any other vehicle, and Victor then came back with a counter offer. After some negotiating, a verbal agreement was reached. My son emphasized that he was a serious buyer and was prepared to drive up from Mission Viejo that same day. He then mentioned he also qualified for Ford’s $750 College Student Recognition rebate, which is a manufacturer-paid incentive — not a dealer discount, which is reimbursed back to the dealer by Ford. He reasonably asked for a signed, itemized breakdown with the rebate included (a standard and reasonable request for any buyer) to move forward with the purchase. His response from Victor was, “How long will it take you to be here?” My son then asked for a signed, itemized breakdown with the rebate included again. That’s when things took a turn: Victor suddenly reversed course, claiming the acceptance text was an auto reply, even though it was on a personal cell phone number, and they were “too far apart,” despite already agreeing to the price. Victor then accused my son of “asking, asking, asking and not giving anything in return” — which is absurd, since we had negotiated a price that was supposedly accepted by the manager and simply wanted it documented in writing. This entire experience felt like a case of price manipulation and bait-and-switch, wrapped in condescension and unprofessionalism. They wasted our time and insulted a young, informed buyer who came to the table with a serious, no-nonsense offer. That said, there’s no loss to us. We’ll take our cash elsewhere — to a dealership that values honesty, respect, and transparency. If you’re wondering why their 30+Mavericks have been collecting dust for nearly a year, now you know. Ford of Upland relies on high-pressure sales, padded fees, and manipulative behavior. Avoid Ford of Upland if you expect integrity or fair treatment.
