Horrible place to take your vehicle

Had our truck towed to susanville ford cause the injectors needed to be replaced. Mind you we have a video of the truck running before it went in. They changed the injectors that we paid for a long with the FICM. They kept telling us that it had other issues that need to be addressed. They told us they took it in a test drive an it stalled out an wouldn't start back up once they returned to the shop. They also used starting fluid to keep it running for 3 minutes ( this truck is a diesel, you don't use starting fluid in a diesel pickup, it will ruin a motor). Now our truck is not running at all an has metal in the oil pump wich they said was bad.. our truck has been here since July 2022. THEY ARW LIERS AN DON NOT GO TO THEM.

Buyer beware

Went and purchased a vehicle from them the beginning of March. I was told that the title was clean and I was the second owner. I thought I was getting a good deal. Just last week after trying to trade it in I was given a car fax report that stated it had a branded title and I was in fact the fifth owner. I called Susanville Ford to ask them why I wasn't told that and to ask them where my registration was because I still haven't received it. They told me it was my responsibility to to contact the dmv. I called the dmv and was told there is an out of state lein holder. I called back to Susanville Ford and talk to Jerry Jones she proceeded to tell me that the dmv was lying and everything was taken care of. I asked her why it wasn't disclosed that it didn't have a clean title. She then got very rude with me. She then asked what I wanted. I told her for them to take the car back because they sold it under false pretenses and to return my down payment. She then had the audacity to tell me I didn't pay for anything the bank did. I reminded her that I put $20,000 cash down. She then transferred me to Chris Johnson who was also very rude telling me I seen the car fax report. I was never shown a report. When I purchased the car the salesman said they ran a report and it was clean. Never offered to show it to me. Buyer beware!!!

The Works

I had several repair issues. Most just minor but took weeks & was finally repaired to my satisfaction. Due to warranty I have to have service done at a dealership. Took my truck in for The Works oil change lately which includes tire rotation. Had I not had 2 newer tires (damaged & replaced since last oil change) I would not have noticed that they were not rotated. They, tried to say the tires were rotated but even their own paperwork showed they were not. They rotated the tires by my request & knocked off $10 & it took 4 hours for the oil change with an appointment. I always have to reset the oil change (service) on the dash messenger myself. Thankfully there’s a window sticker most of the time) Due to past experience I have found that troubleshooting ANY problem first via forums or even paid Question/Answer mechanics saves weeks of time. I’m not thrilled with their service but we have no other choice here. It’s a work truck & weeks of downtime for minor work is costly for a small business. Educate yourself. Now I will mark my tires, my filters & watch my back. I only recommend them because they are the only dealership within 2 hour drive. No truck, can’t work. So it costs a lot more than the final bill. Purchased vehicles in the past but not lately.

Turn back now!

In years past I have dealt with this dealership and been happy. But this week it was a very different situation. Not sure if it's the change with the new ownership, or just true colors shining through. While I can say that the words that come out of their mouths seem helpful their actions are the alternative. They don't care about their customer base. Absolutely use caution with these folks. In the auto industry, these folks (folks being substituted for a derogatory 4 letter word) are snake oil salesmen! I took my car in for a recall repair. Every deadline they claimed they failed on. Every time they said they would do something, they drug their heels to the point it was evident they didn't care. It was obvious, you didn't buy it from here.... Too bad you tried to bring it here for service.... Ford and Mopar should both pull away from this plagued dealership like Chevy did years ago.

Excellent customer service

Had to take to car in for a transmission rebuild due to manufacturers defects. They accommodated me with a rental car when they had to order parts and were very professional during the entire process. Transmission performs great now.

Dealer response

We really appreciate your positive feedback! We hope you continue to choose Susanville Ford for all your vehicle needs! Take care!

Great small town dealer with no pressure.

They don't need to be a mega-dealer pressuring you to buy anything on the lot. Whatever makes the dealer happy to fill a quota won't be found at Susanville Ford. From the owners to the secretaries I've never reached anyone that is having a bad day. The service advisor Loree Hays does not rush her schedule to "Get 'em in and out of here then move on to the next". You are made to feel like a friend so I recommend Susanville Ford for an excellent purchasing experience and future connections.
