My wife and I decided to make a change and look at the Lincoln Aviator as her lease was ending on another premium US Automaker. In this crazy market we had no idea what to expect and had been recently disappointed by “experiences” as we shopped other vehicles and Dealers. Lincoln of Troy and more important Sean Taffe were the bright spot in the experience. First class the entire way from ordering to delivery. My wife even received pics of her Aviator (that arrived a day late for us to take on our trip) on our trip, making her extremely happy. Arguably more important than that, was Sean’s willingness to be our advocate and working through issues professionally and amicably. #notourlastlincoln

Had an appointment at 9:30 AM for repair.
Had an appointment at 9:30 AM for repair. I showed up at 8 AM instead. I was willing to wait. Service told me that they may get to diagnosis but were not sure if they were going to get it repaired until the following week. Service later added that they are super busy and that they are still playing catch-up from earlier in the week. I guess Lincoln of Troy has yet to learn the meaning of an appointment!

Never go anywhere else for oil changes
I love Lincoln of Troy! I took my Lincoln MKC to a little place to get a oil change and a few weeks later the engine light came on..They forgot to do something with the filter and it was straining the engine, I came here and they fixed it, I learned my lesson, Lincoln have a different way to put things in and I will never go anywhere but this dealership for oilchanges or anything else..

Kelly at Lincoln of Troy was enormously helpful, kind and considerate to me today. I had been driving my grandchildren to and from school when the light went on stating I had low tire pressure. I decided to take a chance and drive straight to the dealership even although it was 4:45 pm. Despite the fact that the dealership was taking no more appointments, Kelly was kind enough to help me out and put air in my tires, at no cost. I am so enormously relieved to be once again driving a safe car, especially since I have to drive my grandchildren to school early tomorrow morning Kelly made an exception for me and I am very grateful. If only everyone could be as kind, considerate and professional as she. Lincoln of Troy is a wonderful dealership. Signed, A grandmother in need.

AWFUL Customer Service From Used Car Manager
If I could give Lincoln of Troy Used Car Department 0 or negative stars, I would. The customer service was AWFUL. I REGRETTABLY purchased a '17 Nissan Rogue from them 5/3/21. I didn't have a problem with the salesperson. But, the Used Car Sales Manager Tom Schneider was a pain in the xxx, combative, arrogant and a genuine Grade-A xxxxxxx. The salesperson doesn't make decisions with vehicle price. That falls to the sales manager. Every customer should do their due diligence and negotiate the best terms. While working with Tom trying to get the price, he was condescending often with a raised voice saying, "I'm not lowering the price, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT!" The listed price of the Rogue was $16,200 of which he lowered it to $14,700. I knew it was priced higher than other Rogue's on the internet (with similar mileage/equipment). But, because of the pandemic and my personal situation, I took the deal. Once I told them that I was financing the car elsewhere, Tom couldn't be bothered anymore. He didn't thank me for my business, congratulate me, or talk to me after the negotiations. I even tried to smooth things over by thanking him and he gave a simple nod without speaking as if he couldn't be bothered anymore while printing out window stickers for the other vehicles on the lot. I've purchased MANY cars and this was MY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I then sat for 2 hours while waiting for a Finance Manager with no other customers being served. It was as if I was being punished for being a "bad customer," not allowing full price, and not getting any aftermarket (GAP, Extended Warranty, etc.). It was also the first time I bought a car from a dealership without a full tank of gas in it. I drove away with a half-tank and did so because I didn't want to deal with Tom Schneider and the Lincoln of Troy Used Car Department. What made matters worse was that I purchased this vehicle on 5/13/21 with 74,073 miles on the vehicle. 14 days later on 5/17/21, I had to take it to Suburban Nissan of Troy down the street from Lincoln of Troy less than 400 miles later (74,433 miles) for braking noises and difficulty braking. Both the front brakes pads and rotors had to be replaced because they were worn down below safety specs and the rotors (according to the inspection report) was rusted and heat cracked. Additionally, The brake fluid was low and the automatic transmission fluid was low. The service advisor that I worked with told me that this car should not have passed inspection and even been placed on a lot until all of these issues were taken care of. And, he indicated that the vehicle would not have passed inspection at their shop. He buttoned it up by saying that 400 miles of driving would not have caused this much wear. It was sold to you like this. The service cost over $900 to complete. I called Lincoln of Troy and spoke to Tom again demanding they pay for the costs to cover the work that was done on a vehicle that should not have passed their inspection. Even though this car wasn't certified, this car was well below the state safety guidelines for being sold. Tom noted that his Service Department Director did the inspection himself and that everything checked out. He then victim-blamed me and said, "The car was good when you took it. I don't know what you did with it in that time." When I told him again (firmly but not yelling) that, "Lincoln of Troy was going to xxxxing pay for this," Tom began yelling and screaming over me, "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO! SEE, I WAS GOING TO HELP YOU, BUT SINCE WE'RE ON A RECORDED LINE AND SINCE YOU HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE, YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN. AND, YOU CAME IN HERE FOUR TIMES TRYING TO STRONG ARM US FOR A DEAL. WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE CONTROLLED." After going back and forth and the both of us yelling over top of each other, for about 15 seconds, Tom hung up on me. TOM xxxxING HUNG UP ON ME! NEVER BUY FROM LINCOLN OF TROY AGAIN!

If I could give the Lincoln of Troy Used Car Department...
If I could give the Lincoln of Troy Used Car Department zero or negative stars, I would do just that because the customer service and friendliness level was AWFUL. I REGRETTABLY purchased a 2017 Nissan Rogue from the used car department on May 3rd, 2021 (Please keep this date in mind). I didn't have a problem with the salesperson (David Holcomb). He was decent to work with. However, the Used Car Sales Manager (Tom Schneider) was a pain in the xxx to work with, combative, arrogant and a genuine Grade-A xxxxxxx. Clearly the salesperson doesn't make any decision with what to let the price of a vehicle go for. That decision, if there's negotiation and haggling involved, generally falls to the sales manager. Of course, every good customer should do their due diligence and negotiate the best terms for their bottom line. While working with Tom in trying to get the price that I felt I deserved, he was condescending in the way that he talked to me often with a raised voice, "I'm not lowering the price, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT!" The listed price of this Nissan Rogue was $16,200 of which he lowered it to $14,700. I knew their Rogue was priced higher than other Rogue's listed on the internet (with similar mileage and equipment). But, given that we're still in a pandemic and my personal situation, I took the deal. Once I told them that I was financing the car with my credit union, Tom couldn't be bothered anymore. Tom didn't thank me for my business, congratulate me, or even so much as talk to me after the deal with finalized. I even went to try to smooth things over by thanking him and he gave a simple nod without speaking as if he couldn't be bothered anymore while printing out window stickers for the other vehicles on the lot. I have purchased A LOT of cars from a lot of different places all over the country. And, this was by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had and the WORST that I had EVER been treated. Mind you, I traded (or sold) a 2015 Jaguar XJL Portfolio a few days (at another dealership) prior to coming into Lincoln of Troy. I attempted trading it at Lincoln of Troy, but Tom gave me a low-ball offer and I decided that I could do better somewhere else and not put it in the deal. Following the agreement to purchase the car for the aforementioned price, I sat for nearly 2 hours while waiting for a Finance Manager with no other customers being served. It was as if I was being punished for being a "bad customer," not allowing full price, and not getting any aftermarket (GAP, Extended Warranty, etc.) with the F&I guy. This was also the first time I even bought a vehicle from a dealership and didn't even have a full tank of gas in the car. I drove away with a half-tank of gas and did so because I no longer wanted to deal with Tom Schneider and the Lincoln of Troy Used Car Department. Tom Schneider noted that his Service Department Director did the inspection himself and that everything checked out. He then victim-blamed me and said, "The car was good when you took it. I don't know what you did with it in that time. So, that's on you." When I stated to him again, this time with some teeth (and firmly but not yelling) that, "Lincoln of Troy was going to xxxxing pay for this," Tom began yelling and screaming over me, "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO. SEE, I WAS GOING TO HELP YOU, BUT SINCE WE'RE ON A RECORDED LINE AND SINCE YOU HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE, YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN. AND, YOU CAME IN HERE FOUR TIMES TRYING TO STRONGARM US FOR A DEAL. WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE CONTROLLED." After going back and forth and the both of us yelling over top of each other, for about 15 seconds, Tom hung up on me. TOM xxxxING HUNG UP ON ME! First, shame on me for not doing more inspection on this vehicle for buying. Second, shame on me for not walking away for good when I got the AWFUL customer service the first time. Thirdly, I had to deal with coming out of pocket to pay for service that should've been placed on a vehicle that was not equipped to be sold minimally for safety reasons. I'm a former on-air television anchor and reporter and I'm so tempted to call up the many friends that I have working in the Detroit television stations (Local 4, ABC 7 or FOX 2) to have them come stick a camera and microphone in Tom Schneider's face and make him eat all of that xxxx. I really honestly hope that call was on a recorded line too so the dealership can hear that particular call. But, I will see what the Lincoln of Troy Owner & General Manager has to say before I take the next step. My anger has turned to true disappointment that the Sales Department is an example of why car dealerships get the bad rep they have. There are truly good people working and doing right by customers. Tom Schneider is the WORST KIND OF CAR-SALESMAN xxx HOLE and the WORST of the bunch by a COUNTRY MILE. But, what does this guy (speaking about me) who just moved from Kansas City expects when coming to Detroit. Welcome to the car capital of the world I guess.

Purchased 2017 Lincoln MKC (certified pre owned) and it’s been in the service shop more than with me. Service is horrible!!! I’ve taken this vehicle back 3 times; going on 4 for the same issues!! I had the vehicle for under a months time and had taken it back 3 times! Now, it’s been almost 7 months and I’m taking it back for a fourth time for the same issues. I tried scheduling a service appointment at another Lincoln location and the manager told me to take it back to Troy!!!! They don’t even want to touch it!! Buyers remorse!!!! Spoke to manager Mark of pre owned vehicles and he told me to come in to see what can be worked out. But, once I got there and he saw my Black face he had a change of heart and a bad case of selective amnesia. It was as though he’d forgotten that he had spoken to me. On the phone he was nice, but in person he was very condescending and rude. I’m definitely sick and disappointed. I will NEVER purchase another Lincoln.

Great Experience
I traded in my 2015 MKC for a new Nautilus. Mark Nikprilaj did an excellent job from start to finish. I would highly recommend him and Lincoln of Troy for a new car experience

Brought my Escape in for the "Works" package using a coupon. Drove all the way from Macomb. The "Works" includes oil change, tire rotation, etc. Despite the work sheet indicating all the services were performed and a full check-up was completed, I found the tire rotation (at a minimum) was not done. I noticed a few hours later after I got home. I have special marks on my wheels and they were in the same location. At this point I have to question whether or not the oil and filter were replaced - it appears they were but it leaves doubt. I called the dealership to let them know what happened and they offered to have me bring the vehicle back for the tire rotation, but it's not worth my time to make the 1 hour round trip. There are plenty of reputable places for service.
