Service Dept. is unethical

I see a lot of good reviews from customers on new car, truck sales but my experience with the Foss Motors Service department was not a good one. I had a tailgate sensor light on my Jeep Wrangler that wouldn't go off. I dropped the Jeep off and was surprised to receive a call a half hour later. The Service Admin. told me the technician found the problem which was a pinched wiring harness that cut thru some of the wires. Not so bad so far. However when I asked how much it would cost to fix it I was told $700!! I was very surprised to hear that amount for some crushed wires, but not knowing how bad it was I asked for the Service Admin. to send me a couple of pics of the damage and a breakdown of the costs. According to the Service Admin. this repair pictured would take a Certified Foss Technician 4 hrs. to repair. When I went to pick up my vehicle I talked to the Service Manager Ben to try to give him an opportunity to explain how this repair could possibly take 4 hrs. to repair. He could not and only confirmed what I knew that the wires would need to be stripped back, soldered and heat shrunk together. I will let you be the judge on the level of effort needed to fix this, but I plan on doing this repair myself this weekend and can guarantee you it will not take me more than an hour to do not close to the 4 hrs. quoted. Therefore, I'm writing this review to warn others to beware of Foss Motors Services Dept. who will gouge you on labor hours for service repairs to your vehicle. I will not be back there ever and do not recommend anyone else go there either.

New Vehicle Purchase

I have been a long time customer of Foss Motors and all I can say is that it never surprises me of the great service and the RESPECT that is given to a customer. I recently purchased a new Jeep and the associate Kevin Bicking went above and beyond the scope of his responsibilities. And all I can say is that's what makes it a pleasure to purchase a vehicle from Foss Motors. Great Job KEVIN BICKING.

Great dealership

Great selection, very respectful of our time. Sales person listened to our wants and showed us the best fits they had on the lot and also talked to us about the build your own option. when we asked questions people didn’t know off the top of their head they found the answer using on site experts. Easy buying process, would recommend this dealer.

Best car buying experience ever!

After doing my research and looking at Jeeps for some time, I knew exactly what I wanted and what I was willing to pay. With other dealers in the area having little or no inventory, Foss had the Renegade with the features I was looking for. I heard horror stories about other dealers gouging due to the supply chain situation, but not so with Foss. Pricing was fair and straightforward inclusive of factory incentives, and Josh took me through the deal efficiently and without wasting my time. I succeeded in completing the deal without setting foot into the dealership until it was time to take delivery, which is exactly what I wanted. I would have liked to avoid the obligatory pitch for an extended service plan (which I always decline) but even that was done with as little displeasure as possible. Without dragging things out or rushing us, Josh took the time to go over what we needed to know about our new Jeep, helped us get connected with the technology, and made sure any questions were answered. We drove away having had by far, the best experience in 40+ years of buying cars.

Highly recommended

Smooth transaction start to finish. Only dealer I could find that wasn’t charging a “market adjustment” and actually had inventory. Kevin was great. Down to earth and no pushy sales tactics. Highly recommended!

Buyer

Jim in sales went out of his way to assist me in my lease, even taking some of my calls on his pass days. The Foss Dealership has an inventory unmatched by dealerships in my Albany New York Area, and it was well worth the 3 1/2 hour drive.

Outstanding!!

After my family purchasing a handful of cars from Foss I wanted to experience it for myself. I was not disappointed. They went above and beyond and exceeded all my expectations in the purchase of my 2021 Ram. Highly recommend.
