have never had an issue with Bob Penkhus before this

have never had an issue with Bob Penkhus before this time. I brought my car in for brake work and while the car was in Bob Penkhus’ possession, 3 credit cards were stolen from inside my car and used all over Colorado Springs. Thankfully I have fraud protection but when I asked to speak with the manager he was dismissive and refused to believe that it was their fault that my car had things stolen from it while in their possession. Not only did he “100% guarantee it wasn’t one of my workers” but also did not apologize or offer any insight to what may have happened. I have to wait for the police to finish their investigation now but I will no longer be using Bob Penkus for buying any new cars or service. Make sure you don’t leave anything in your car since they obviously have someone getting into people’s cars and stealing from you!

Best Dealer in Colorado

Excellent service! Came in with a car I payed too much for and came out way better than I expected! 10/10 would recommend. Stall is also phenomenal and very helpful.

No accountability for misdiagnosis

I came to Bob Penkhus South on Friday 7/16/21 with a complaint of an intermittent metallic tapping noise from the front left of my car that I wanted to resolve before driving to Texas on Monday (7/19/21). After dropping off my car on Friday at 8:00 am, I was told that I would be contacted by the end of the day with an update. That did not happen and I was not offered a loaner car for the weekend. I called on Saturday (7/17/2021) and they said a right front wheel bearing was the cause of the noise. That did not make sense but I put my trust in the dealership to accurately diagnose the problem. When I picked up my car on Monday (7/19/2021), I could not hear the noise (unreliable as it was originally intermittent) and trusted that it was resolved. I drove to Texas the following day and the same noise returned. I called Bob Penkus Mazda South and explained what happened and they told me to bring the car into them and that if it was related to the wheel bearing, they would fix it. This statement was ignorant because a) I had explained to them I was in Texas and live in Omaha and b) they acted like in no possibility could the noise be coming from another source. I drove home (noisy) and the Omaha Mazda dealership diagnosed a loose heat shield as the cause of the noise, which resolved the noise entirely. I contacted the Bob Penkhus South service manager, Bud Hall, to ask for at least a partial refund for the misdiagnosis. He responded that the noise in Texas was "new" (it was not, it was the exact same noise) and that they should make a full profit ($950) for the "service" (misdiagnosis) provided. He said the loose heat shield would have been evident in the inspection, but then why was the noise completely resolved once the heat shield was fixed? I feel mistreated and taken advantage of.

Do Your Homework

Make sure you do your homework before you head to this dealer. The advertisements stated warranty and a certain amount for the vehicle. I will admit I am inexperienced when it comes to buying a vehicle, however, the salesperson on three separate occasions tried to trick me. One instance was with the pricing of the vehicle he stated it was 2,000 more than the original price. I informed him of the price change and he corrected himself. Second thing was miscommunication between both the sales people one is telling that the dealer provides a warranty while the other salesman states that the dealer provides no warranty except through the manufacturer. Last instance is providing me with the wrong car fax and having the warranty paperwork ripped inside the vehicle. The paperwork stated no warranty yet the description online states there is.

New Volkswagen

Usedcustomer

I bought 2005 frontier from the dealership. They told me they would fix the cracked windshield and overly loose parking brake. Mitch told me that the truck was getting final touch ups as we did the paperwork a week later. Sure enough the window was still cracked and the e brake still did not work; the inside was still filthy to boot. 2 days later the truck died. They did fix the electric issue but refused to fix the defects they were supposed to. They don't care about customers.
