I would like to thank Austin Aguilera for helping me find my new ride. I am excited to see what a diesel car will do for my wallet when it comes time to hit the ... Austin is a nice guy, did not make me feel uncomfortable during the process, gave me plenty of opportunities to test drive the car, showed me other models I would like and he is widely respected by his coworkers. All of these things made my decision to buy much easier.

Go4Austin

Don’t buy here!

Avoid this dealership! I purchased a vehicle in May, and they have still not sent the appropriate paperwork to the DMV 4 months later. I have called several times and emailed to bring it to their attention, yet nothing is being done to correct the problem. The cherry on top was talking to the sales manager Matt today, ending with him hanging up the phone because he “isn’t charge of DMV matters.” Spend your money somewhere else!

Do not buy here!

They have no idea how to do business.

This dealership desperately needs to hire more professional and friendly people to value their customers, unless they are doing that well that they can afford turning costumers away in less than 1/2 hour. Went to lease our 4th VW from them and was treated very unprofessional that had to leave ASAP. Will never go back there ever again.

STAY AWAY

I want to start by saying that I have been leasing cars for close to 20 years with various makers and this situation has never happened to me before. We spent 3 days dealing with Mossy Volkswagen Escondido trying to get a car. We were shopping around and trying to get some numbers and we pretty much narrowed it down to certain vehicle. Left the dealership and told them that if we can make the numbers work then I will drive back tonight and take that car. The sales rep Diego said not come back in that night cause they were close to closing and wanted to get home and we can get the car tomorrow. Called in the morning and GUESS WHAT? They sold the car last night. So we were pretty upset but he said they would make it up to us. I start searching their inventory and I luckily found the same color combination as the car that sold but with some extras that weren't included before. I give the sales rep the cars info and stock# in the morning and he says he will work on it with the sales manager David Avant. Through out the day I contact them and we finally come to an agreement. They text me that we had a "deal" I was with my family driving home from my sons game when they called me at 3:18pm. The sales rep and the sales manager David were on speakerphone and my family was on speakerphone as well in the car. David confirmed that we had a deal and asked what time I was able to come down and sign paper work and they had to go pick up the car. I told them I was almost home and that I could be there by 4pm. Got off the phone and the family was super excited that were able to get the vehicle that we wanted for a good deal. I rush home drop off the fam and start heading over. 3:45pm sales rep text me and says "pause on coming up here. I'm still not sure I'm able to get the car just yet" I am pulled over on the side of the road wondering WTH is going on!! No answer of my calls for 6 mins and then GUESS WHAT??? They tell me they sold the car that I had worked a deal on!! This is after EVERYONE was on speaker and heard the confirmation between myself and the sales manager and the sales rep. Then they proceeded to try to lease me another car that had nothing I wanted and also failed to mention that it was used!!! I really hold the sales manager at being at fault because you were the one that made the deal and you were present on the phone when we all agreed. I had to wait till the next day to speak with the GM Marty Meador and he just goes in circles with you in a passive aggressive manner making you feel like you did something wrong. He told me there is never a "deal" until you sign. Ok well I then asked him what he would do in this scenario: "What if a customer that has been working with you requested a certain make/model that you don't have on the lot and you ask another dealer to send it over and upon arrival another customer wants it.. would you sell it?" Marty responds- "YES!" All I can say is at the least he gave an honest answer. I responded that there is no integrity in that. He says call it what you want. I would make sure you do your due diligence and read the reviews.....definitely a recurring pattern

Best experience!

Words cannot describe how amazing everyone was at mossy Volkswagen. DO NOT READ AND LISTEN TO WHAT THESE OTHER REVIEWS SAY!!! The people giving it bad reviews are most likely the typical everyday complaining person who went in there with a bad attitude. My wife and I went to another Volkswagen dealer where the deal they offered was outragesous. Went to Mossy Volkswagen the next day and we were blown away by what our sales agent Alex and the Sales manager Dave came up with. My wife and I are so happy in our new Jetta at an amazing deal and the experience overall was great because the staff do make you feel like family as they have the best customer service but most importantly the best personality I have ever seen in the car business. In all, I highly recommend this place to everyone as I know you will leave with a great deal and a car you love. Just make sure to see Alex the sales agent, and Dave the sales manager.

Thank god for Daniel Baker!

My first Jetta lease was 3 years ago through City VW. The lease signing expierence with City VW was aweful and my lease end experience was even worse... I ended up extending my lease 1 more month to figure it out on my own. I called VW Credit and explained the situation to Lori, she answered my questions. After our call she reached out to Daniel at Mossy VW Escondido to contact me and make things right- he did just that! My entire experience with my trade in and new 2017 Jetta with Daniel has completely changed my negative opinion about dealerships to positive! Thanks for being available and wonderful!

Sketchy beware

I contacted dealership regarding a vehicle that was advertised. They didn't seem to want to honor that price is first issue. Second is I filled out credit app to have them work on finance offering a 30% down and stopped in to look at and if they needed anything additional from me. I called in the evening because I hadn't heard anything and I was told by Pete in finance that it was sold early that day and Mitch salesperson was supposed to call and notify. Very sketchy and highly unprofessional!!!

BAD BUSINESS

Had a verbal agreement with Matt the manager and Meredith(Internet sales manager). They brought a Volvo to sell me and we agreed upon price and said I would be there in morning to sign paperwork. They sold it that night for a few more bucks....hope it was worth it!! Loyalty and honesty are important this day and age and lies have no place in the USED CAR INDUSTRY LET ALONE A MOSSY LOCATION. I've bought several cars from Mossy...what a shame
