Don't tell you anything until after you have paid for the used car. Didn't tell us no 2nd key, oh too bad sorry, had to pay a lot to get 2nd key made. No floor mats, they not even sorry about that. Got car home, oil leak, told to just take to a mechanic to get it fixed, no help with that. The finance guy was completely rude, not nice or friendly or helpful at all. Will never buy a used car from them again!

Safety isn’t a concern here

I received fraudulent service at Mossy Volkswagen. I came to my local Volkswagen early in the year to get my clock spring replaced. After the service, my steering wheels buttons and horn stopped working. The service man informed that the wheel appeared to have been damaged by me and in order to fix it I needed to be replaced. He said I caused the damage so I would waste time dealing with warranty because they will deny to cover. Assuming that the clock spring was replaced, I thought the airbag was at least safe. They did not tell me the airbag would fail in case of collision but the repair price range was 1,0000-2,000. Recently I took my car for an oil change, the mechanic said it was urgent to take my car to Volkswagen. I went to VW Kearny Mesa, they inspected the vehicle they found that the clock spring and some buttons on the steering wheel needed to be replaced. They refused to hand me my car back and explained to me that it was dangerous to drive but they needed my car for a couple of days. They provided a car rental at the dealers expense and said they will try to cover as much as they can with the warranty . The repair cost here was only over $100. Mossy Volkswagen did not urge about any dangers, did not fulfill the service I came for or try to help me, they were more concerned for the sale. Not sure if that’s the manner that they provide business here or the service man that helped me or if they lack knowledge but be cautious here.

Dishonest!

I leased my 2017 Passat from Mossy. Upon signing I specifically asked if I would pay a dime when I turned in my vehicle. They told me as long as I was not over on miles I would not owe anything. I could turn the vehicle in and walk away. Lies! Apparently there is a fee called a disposition fee that every lease company charges upon return of the vehicle that is non-negotiable. It normally runs between $300-$400. This should have been revealed to me at signing. They flat out lied to get the sale. Never again! Cheat me once, and it will be the last.

AMAZING Customer Service - CHANO is your guy!

Hello! I am writing this comment in regards to the service I received from Chano Alvaro this past weekend. To say he was kind, helpful and a pleasure to work with is an understatement. I truly dislike this entire car buying process because of the "sales guy" sort of approach. While he was informative, engaging and just a good guy ... he NEVER made me feel uncomfortable or pressured at any time. Even when we almost walked away ( after a couple of hours already ) because I wanted a car that wasn't on the lot .... he didn't have an attitude or act upset (which has happened before with sales guys multiple times) at all. He did everything he could do to advise us of other options and eventually we BOUGHT A CAR! Had he been too pushy or made me feel uncomfortable at any time, we would have left. He was professional. He was kind. He kept going back to his boss and asking for all of our requests and possible discounts ... even when he knew there was NO chance of it happening. But we appreciated that because he did everything he could for US! In the end we got a beautiful new VW Atlas ( with light interior :-)) and made my kids smile bigger than even I was!! I hope he is recognized for his honest and genuine approach! We will recommend him going forward for sure! Laura and Scott Valentine

waiting... and waiting

My used Volkswagen only came with one key. I lost it. hard. I contacted Mossy and they told me it was three days, had to be cut at the depot, so sorry. They took my number and said they would call me as soon as it came in. More than a week later - no call. I call them "oh yeah, we have it right here" he said to the fuming customer who has lost the use of his vehicle for over a week. I gotta find some other way. Don't go there - that way lies pain misery and death. But seriously it was the worst customer service experience in 40 + years. Rot in heck you parasitic xxxx.

Went in just to ask questions and look around. Needed a vehicle that would get me from point A to point B. Pascual took care of us and said he was the guy to make it happen and sure enough he did ! Left the next day with my very own vehicle . Couldn’t be happier ! Thanks so much for your time !

Excellent vehicle purchase

We had such a terrible potential purchase at a local VW dealer we left, made a call to Emilio and by the time we got here we had a better deal on the vehicle we wanted, got the trade we wanted on our car and they already had paperwork rolling. Andre spent two hours driving to source our vehicle from another dealer, made our purchase speedy and then Brandon was so clear and quick in finance. Best auto purchase for me to date and they had a great promotion going on the VW Atlast my wife and I bought as well. Can't say enough positive things.

Great Experience!

My overall experience was great. The salesman (Chano) was fantastic. Very helpful, honest and ethical. I was delighted to work with him. Usually I don't like the salesman, this was such a different experience and great! The Manager George was also vey helpful. I told him what I wanted and needed and he made it happen. Usually the Manager is the guy with bad news, but he wasn't. Cisco, the Finance Manager was also great. I will be going back to Mossy Volkswagen Escondido the next time I need a car. I will also refer my friends!
