Had a malfunction of the under engine cover.
Had a malfunction of the under engine cover. Two weeks ago, I brought my 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid to have it repaired. Turns out, the whole engine cover had to be replaced. Elsy Chavez, my Service Manager, promised to look into it and see what could be done at minimal cost to me. A week later, Elsy called to offer a minimal cost solution, to which I agreed to. A week later, I had the repair done in about an hour. Elsy kept me updated throughout the process. Easy-peasy! I was in and out in no time! Thank you, Toyota of Chula Vista and especially to Elsy Chavez!!

Morning welcome was pleasant and efficient.
Morning welcome was pleasant and efficient. Coffee bar was welcome. Never fond of waiting but it was a reasonable amount of time. I appreciated the TV remaining off especially from noisy news stations. Other staff were pleasant. Especially the young man who checked me in and out. Also appreciated the car wash. Keep up the good work. See you next time!

I had an extremely frustrating experience at Toyota Chula
I had an extremely frustrating experience at Toyota Chula Vista with service advisor Elsy Chavez. I scheduled an appointment for two cosmetic services on my vehicle. A day prior to the appointment my advisor canceled saying that the person that was going to fix one on the issues wasn’t available and rescheduled my appointment. When I finally brought my car in, they only completed one of the two requested services, causing me unnecessary delays and inconvenience since she cancelled my first appointment for this exact reason. When she called me to let me know they were only doing 1 out of the 2 services, the advisor showed a complete lack of professionalism. Not only did she fail to apologize, but she also raised her voice and spoke to me with a rude, condescending attitude. Instead of addressing the issue calmly and respectfully, she became defensive and dismissive. Customer service at the front desk is crucial, and unfortunately, this advisor demonstrated lack of empathy, communication skills, and basic courtesy. I left the conversation feeling disrespected and completely dissatisfied with the service I received. Besides her lack of professionalism, Elsy Chavez needs to be trained on basic things like using the Toyota App. This app is free for the first year and after that you pay a monthly fee, I started paying the monthly subscription and during one of my appointments with her I expressed that I couldn’t do the linkage of the app and my car. She said she didn’t know how to use it and didn’t even try to get someone else to help me. I stopped paying the subscription due to this. Toyota Chula Vista needs to seriously evaluate who they have representing their brand at the front desk, because this experience has made me question whether I’ll return to this location in the future and this is where I bought my car 2 years ago.

Don?t know why they ask for my review if they don?t even attempt to reach out. Poor customer service. Car promised at 12:00. I call at 1:00, on hold for 5 minutes. Show up at 1:30, ?car is currently being worked on, will be ready in 30 minutes. Lies, car probably began service because I got there. I get a call 45 minutes later that it?s done. I go and ask for a discount for making me show up twice. ?There?s nothing we can do about it.? Didn?t know $20 was the difference between a repeating customer and no customer. Bought my car here and have always serviced it here, First time this has ever happened to me, yet they didn?t seem to care.
