Had my eye on a 2006 Volvo. Had a problem with the check engine light, dealer repaired it, we had a mechanic confirm there were no other major problems and we bought it. Negotiation was easy-- I feel like he went right down to a very fair price immediately and he agreed to warranty the as-is car for 30 days against any other misfires. There was an open recall out on it, and he made some calls for us to tell us what that was all about without us even asking him to. It has a minor problem that our mechanic confirms there is no way the dealer could have known about it until it started (shortly after we bought it of course) so a little bad luck, but we've had no major problems and the car is still very much driveable :) I think that's all right for a car this old. If you want to buy a good car for a good price from an honest family, I would recommend this dealer. :)
