Carr was fixed but very badly. It was so obvious. When I pointed out to the salesman he was giving me all the discounts . Eventually I walked out disgusted.

Hi, please contact us regarding your visit. We are not able to find your name in our system to look up your situation and we would like to find out what happened, and what car you are referring to. We would like the chance to earn your business. Bill Fogg , GM 805-682-2000
Misleading
Shopping for a new Porsche that was labelled as new, only to find out its been used (200+ miles) and for whatever reason, is currently actively going through it's warranty without an owner. On top of that, they wouldn't entertain an additional markdown even though the car has been sitting on their lot for months. Avoid.

Excellent
I live in New Jersey but was able to find the car I wanted through cars.com. I had a great experience dealing with Santa Barbara Auto Group. I dealt with CJ, who was very responsive. I would definitely recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a new car.

Just Reduced!...my opinion of this auto group
I drove from San Diego with the intent to purchase vin#5TDXK3DC3FS565752. The carfax had a clean report, the pictures posted showed no damage, and the dealer rep texted me multiple times writing about the van. Upon arrival the van needed to be jumped as the battery wouldn't start. The rep had a 4hr notice that we would be coming to view the vehicle. The vehicle had 3 bald tires that they said they would replace. At no time was it disclosed that this vehicle had three significant areas of body damage. Not door dings, significant body damage! The trip from San Diego is lengthy especially with two little ones in the car. For the dealership to omit that the car had significant damage is wrong. What is alarming is that when speaking to 'management' they agreed that they had failed us and suggested that we yell at the rep that texted us info on the vehicle. To yell was the offered suggestion. Really? Needless to say we will not offer our business to this auto group.

Good Morning Amber L. Unfortunately I have to agree with everything you said here. Our service department completely failed getting tires and battery replaced, our recon manager failed in getting pictures uploaded that highlighted the dents and doubling checking to ensure the vehicle was ready for the front line. And most importantly our Sales Consultant is suppose to be the last person to check the vehicle, especially when he has an appointment, not to mention someone coming all the way up from San Diego. And although I believe the sales person should be reprimanded for this debacle, I also agree that the manager telling you to yell at him was out of line, that's our job not yours. Needless to say we failed miserably here and warranted a public apology, therefore on behalf of Santa Barbara Auto Group you have my sincerest apology and I will contact you directly to compensate you for your trip up here. I would also like to note that this Vehicle has been removed from our front line and is being repaired to the standards it should be so this does not happen to anyone else. Sincerely Scott Westbrook General Sales Manager Santa Barbara Auto Group.

Car Purchase Made Easy
My son's recent car purchase at the Santa Barbara Auto Group - Acura Dealership went extremely smooth. Our salesman Mike Smith took care of everything for him and his first car purchase after graduating from college. He even held the car for him while he waited for his credit union loan to go through. I cannot thank him enough. We had a terrible experience with another out of town dealership and were so glad to be able to find a car and purchase it in our hometown. There are a lot of unethical used car sales people out there, but Mike is not one of them. He made sure that a young novice auto purchaser understood the process from beginning to end. Once he brought the check in, it took about 30 minutes to finalize the entire purchase. Mike has even checked in with us a couple of times since our purchase to make sure everything is still fine.

I thought for sale meant for sale?????
was interested in buying a car thats been listed for a bit and was told its complicated. Was told someone did paperwork, had not paid anything, and that they plan on possibly getting it in about a week. I told them i was willing to come and get it within 24hrs paid cash. Was told no, wow way to do business and make a sale!!!! Dont list cars that are "complicated"!!!!!

Looking for a Pre-owned... Nice experience
I used cars.com to scout for a pre-owned Porsche and found an interesting 2008 Carrera C2 offered at Santa Barbara Auto Group. I spoke to the sales rep over the phone and based on that conversation, I visited the dealership. Asking price was attractive given the the car's; appearance, mileage, equipment & condtion and at the right price point to start negotiation. The sales rep, Shane was knowledgible and friendly and the facilities impecable. I found the vehicle was as advertised however, I ultimately decided to pass due to the color of the car (Metalic Ruby Red) ...Lots of these these cars are available so I'll keep looking to find exactly what I want. I would certainly entertain purchasing a car from this dealership if the right car were available.

Excellent Dealership to do business with!
We found a car offered by this dealership on Cars.com and started discussing purchase options and price via email with their representative Chad Deering on a Saturday. He was friendly, professional and very accommodative to working with our needs and budget. So much so that the next morning we drove all the way from Pasadena to Santa Barbara to check out the car, enjoyed a lovely day in Santa Barbara followed by a smooth, no pressure experience with Chad and their finance department manager. In less than 2 hours of arriving at the dealership, getting in a relatively long test drive and doing the paperwork we were on our way back home with the car we wanted, all detailed, full of gas and us as happy customers. I usually dread going to a dealership to buy a car but Chad and the staff at Santa Barbara Auto Group were fantastic. Bill F. - Pasadena, CA
