Thanks to everyone

A friend of mine told me to come to Bob?s Auto Center because she had done a lot of research when she was in the market for the car. I have ridden in her car from Bob?s Auto Center and it was clean, ran great, and got good gas mileage. When I went to look myself, my salesman was a valuable asset. He helped me pick out a few options in my price range and I narrowed it down from there. I?ve had my Dodge Ram for a while now and I love it. Thanks to everyone at Bob?s.

Easy to buy, blunt refusal of service

I bought an SUV at Bob's Auto Center several months ago. The salesman was respectful and willing to show any car we were interested in. We took the to-be-purchased truck for a test drive and everything seemed to operate normally and safely. I pointed out a couple of flaws that needed to be fixed post sale and agreed on a purchase price. I was even offered a warranty on the truck which had close to 120000 miles. About a week later my wife (primary driver) started noticing the car shuddered and grinded upon shifting at around 35mph (a well-known problem with this certain engine/transmission combo). We brought it up when we took the truck in to be serviced for the broken parts they agreed to fix in contract. From this point on I have only ever spoken to the service manager. They said the truck would have to be diagnosed at AAMCO to be taken into consideration for being warrantied. When my wife picked up the truck after repairs, the door they fixed the lock on didn't completely close. They told her they'd have to set up another appointment to now fix the door and wouldn't elaborate on why they deemed this kind of service sufficient for completion. When I finally had some time off work, I tried to set up an appointment after a routine oil change and the service manager told me they were not responsible for the door not shutting. He had even proudly announced that he remembered this specific vehicle and it's problem. I explained to him that the door functioned normally prior to servicing and this is a safety and liability concern. His official response was "Honda makes bad parts" and that he was to refuse service to me in lieu of my wife writing a negative review online about the company, even though she doesn't own the vehicle. I tried to reason with the service manager professionally by explaining to him that if something works before you service it, and doesn?t work after you?ve serviced it, then you?re responsible for the damage. He absolutely refused responsibility and expected me deal with this problem myself. Due to Bob?s Auto Center?s mechanics? incompetence and the service manager?s complete unwillingness to acknowledge his own shop?s fault, my truck door is now permanently damaged. Honda has informed me that a new door is needed due to the bent metal and improper mounting of the locking mechanism. No doubt, I will not be relying on Bob's warranty to fix anything wrong with the transmission now. This business is a typical Marine-town used-car scam lot.

Very helpful with my budget

Went to Bob's because a friend of mine referred me there. My salesman was very helpful by keeping me in my budget range and helping me get a lower insurance quote. I've had my Dodge Ram for 2 years now and will definitely be going back to get my next car. Thanks Bob's.

Well worth the wait

I had come in to look at a truck a month ago. I decided against the vehicle but Shawn had been so informative and knowledgeable that I kept checking the inventory here. When a truck more in line with my needs was available, I came back and requested to work with Shawn. All reps I worked with were helpful and willing to work with me.

Love bobs

Well first off we are the Jackson's . Previously we owned a 09 dodge ram. For us just getting married and money being tight we wanted something better on gas. Not being too sure on where to go or what to buy we jut drove around. My husband pulled into bobs auto center to just look. A sales was right there waiting to help. It was awesome not having to wait. Matt the sale associate learned our needs we tested plenty of vehicles until we picked a 2012 dodge charger . Didn't take too long after falling in love with the charger that we where out driving it. We will definitely be back, I mean who else sells preowned cars with warranty ?

Buyer Beware

My husband bought a truck from Bob's auto center. Our whole experience started out good when it came time for a test drive. The salesma Dave did inform us that the prevouse owner had taken the truck off roading. The truck was on E so we couldn't go very far on our test drive. When asked to hace the teuck on a lift so we can see the under part of the truck we were told that service is swamped and busy and we wouldn't be able to. We asked to see the Carfax the salesman Dave informed us that it was a clean carfax and didn't not show us the carfax report. Against better judgement we bought the truck. The same day of purchas we had to brung the truck back cause the cruse conteol was not working properly. We were told to bring the truck back later that week. The looked at and had told us that the cruse control sensor was caked with mud. Mind you since purchasing the truck it has not been taken any where off roading or threw the mud. They had to order the part and ti come back next week. We come back and the service manager forgot to order the part and set up an appointment fir a month later to fix the cruse control. The day comes to replacing the cruse control and they refused to replace what they were suppose to and blamed us for the caked mud. The sales manager tells us to talk to the service manager and the service manager tells us to speak to sales. Now out of anger my husband said that they do not fix the problem that he will seak leagal action. We were told by the service manager that he will no lo ger speak to us and told us to leave. We have looked up the carfax on the truck on line and the truck has been in a miner accedent. Minor or not an accedent is an accedent. And after this whole ordeal with them. We see reviews about them onlu e from previous customers which I wish we would have seen prior. If your looking for a car or tuck and ci me across them just keep looking and go else where than Bob's Auto center.

Amazing customer service experience!

An excellent experience. We bought a Ford Escape last month and are extremely pleased with it, and more importantly, the customer service. they were professional, up front, honest, and without any pressure to buy. After we signed the papers and drove off the lot, they allowed us to bring it back in a few days later to fine tune what had been overlooked before free of charge. I would buy from them again and I encourage anyone reading this review to check out their lot. - Christina

Great customer service and experience!
