Felt Completely Misled

We began working with Bob's via their internet sales manager who did our financing before we even went in to test drive and were told we were good to go. When we went in we were handed off to another salesman who showed us a vehicle we hadn't seen online. It was a 2008 Ford Edge with 110k miles on it, and it was great. It was exactly what our family was needing and had all the features I was hoping for. They gave us a 24 hr test drive to be sure, so we took the car home and went back Saturday. When we got there we were put with yet another salesman; he was nice, laid out the financing, and gave us a monthly payment. While we were pleasantly surprised we wanted to look at our budget and be sure so we again got to take the car home and got told to come back Monday to sign. We decided we loved the car and it was worth the month to month. Under the assumption it was a done deal past signing on the dotted line we moved all of my son and I's things into the car and got very excited to finally have a practical family vehicle. NOT. We got into Bob's on Monday evening and after sitting around waiting they tell us no go on the Edge but we have something else to show you. It's a much larger "luxury" Buick SUV. We agree to test drive it despite my not being in love and we move the car seat and our son into this car, just to have the salesman come out and say well if you want this one the payment will be 100-150 more a month than the previously discussed payment. That was a big no so again we sit and wait. Then he comes back and says "We can definitely do the egde...for a 2k down payment". Don't you think if we had that we'd have brought it to the table in the first place? He then tries to sell us anything else on the lot and convince my husband to take out a payday loan. We felt really misled so we just left, and thank God because we found the same vehicle newer and/or with less mileage at other dealers for thousands less! These people are praying on young people assuming they're under experienced and easily misled. Don't do it! Go to a reputable, franchise dealer that will be upfront with you from the start. We bought a much more expensive high end truck a year ago and we were very clear with the ford dealer on what we wanted, expected, and planned to spend and they worked with us to get our business including giving my husband every deal in the book to get him the truck he wanted on our budget. FYI Bob's shady used dealers are a dime a dozen in Jacksonville. And FYI to potential buyers, the internet sales price is apparently only for cash and carry customers.

Vehicle Purchase

5 Stars, all the way!

The best sales purchasing experience I have had yet to date my sales rep (Shawn Ohle) was extremely helpful. The process was quick and thorough, unlike other experiences I?ve had at other dealerships.

Far better service than any other dealer i've been to around here and FAR better than Gary's!

Overall a near perfect experience

Brittany at Bob? Auto Center was perfect. I will go through her every time I buy a car at Bob?s. My experience was awesome. All I felt was a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The only thing I didn?t like was when the car was detailed. Things were missed and the car felt a little greasy and oily. Other than that it was perfect.
